A covered front porch is a shady hide-away to unwind in the evening; a spacious sunny patio boasts dining and lounging areas with filtered views of Peck Lake; and in the back yard, a fire pit, lounge chairs and a second dining area complete the outdoor space.
There is also enough parking space for a boat or snowmobile trailer. Natural light streams into every room. The decks and screened-in porches offer additional gathering spaces and the firepit in the back yard is perfect for s'mores at the end of a long day! This is a perfect 4-season vacation destination with a wealth of recreational, educational, and cultural experiences within reach.
Motorboats can be rented or launched at the nearby Peck Lake Marina. Public access to several lakes within a 30-minute drive provides a diversity of on-water experiences. A plethora of sandy beaches, waterfalls and watering holes abound to spend a lazy day to picnic and family/friends or cliff jumping, bouldering, and climbing for the more adventurous guests!
Endless hiking and biking trails can be found throughout the area, many within a few minutes drive. Royal Mountain, home to motorsports in the summer and family-friendly skiing in the winter is under a 15-minute drive. Daytrips can be made to numerous historical destinations including forts, churches, taverns and battle sites dating back to the Revolutionary War.
Saratoga Springs is less than an hour's drive; and Cooperstown and the Finger Lakes wine country are easy day trips. Or, spend the day in a picturesque Adirondack mountain town like Northville or Old Forge to take in the local flavor at the many shops and cafes. In the winter, snowmobile club trails are all over the area with a trail just minutes down the road from the property.
Nearby Lapland Lake Nordic Cross-country Ski Area boasts more than 30 miles of the best cross-country skiing in the Adirondacks. Whether you want a peaceful getaway with room to relax, or a home base with all the creature comforts after a day of adventure or exploring the Southern Adirondacks, this cabin is the perfect place to make new memories every time of year.
