This was our second stay.My children and grandchildren just love it here. Great fishing, swimming, boating, jet skiing. Not a lot of people on lake which is wonderful. Close to boat launch. Makes it easy to bring jet ski or boat to the dock for the week. The cottage and cabin are very comfortable. Nice fire pit
Plenty of chairs, kayak, paddle board, etc.Nice dock. Cranberry Lake is great place to get away from it all. There isn't any place in town to distract from family fun..lot Great place for family bonding. Nora is a great host. She was easy to contact with any questions.I am sure we will go again.

Great location, lots of space, kayaks available with easy launch kayak ramp, nice dock, worked well for our boat, swim platform was also fun. Had a good time fishing and hiking. And enjoyed a nice fire in the fire pit with the owner’s gift of s’mores!

Thanks Patrick for your kind words and taking great care of our home during your stay. I am happy that you all had a great time at the lake. We welcome you back whenever you are ready to begin another adventure at Cranbear cottages. Enjoy the rest of of Summer! Nora
Loved this house! Location was great as it was close to the boat launch and is on a dead end road so there wasnt a lot of traffic. Plenty of room in the house and it was stocked with everything you could need. The tulips were beautiful and the hummingbirds were so cool to watch when they would come to the houses feeders. The porch swing was great and got a lot of use! Watching the sun rise from the dining room table or the deck was spectacular! Would definitely stay in this house again!

“Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m happy that you enjoyed your stay and the nature that surrounded you during memorial day weekend. We welcome you back anytime! Best regards, Nora”
Our extended family stayed here during a wedding week of activities. There was ample room and privacy for everyone, including both the large and small cabins. The parking area was large enough for several cars too. We particularly liked the spacious great room, well-supplied kitchen and large dining table. We were impressed by the cleanliness and organization, especially the kitchen labels which helped keep things neat. The outdoor space was fabulous, from the dock and watercraft selection to the fire pit, which was used nightly during the crisp weather. The lawn was enjoyed by everyone during cornhole games, and our small children appreciated the wade-in ramp. All in all, we highly recommend this lodging for larger family gatherings. Oh, and the view was both exhilarating and peaceful at different times of the day. A wonderful vacation experience indeed!

Our group of 17 was thoroughly captivated with the peaceful beauty of the lake. Every evening we ate on the deck, admiring the water, or cozy in the great room of the big house if it was raining. Neighbors are close by, but quiet.
An early morning hike to nearby Bear Mountain followed by kayaking and a refreshing swim were typical of an enjoyable and relaxing week. But best of all was moonrise across the lake. Whatever activity was going on at moonrise, we dropped everything to stand and stare, awestruck, at the magnificence of moonbeams on the water.
Our host, Nora, was gracious and reassuring when we called to report broken dishes and even a PFD that was accidentally taken home. Her write-up about local attractions was especially helpful, from hikes to motor boat rentals to places to stop on the way. Nora's personal attention, the comfort of the two houses, availability of recreation equipment, and natural beauty of the lake made this a vacation we'd like to repeat.

Our family returned to the "Cub Cabin" for an annual winter Getaway. The cabin is clean, neat, and very well appointed for any extended stay. With ease of access to the lake, this in itself offers snowmobiling, fishing, x country, etc.. In addition, the close proximity to Tupper, Saranac, Lake Placid, provides almost endless activity/event choices.
Highly Recommended for any enjoyable winter interlude!

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our week! The accommodations were excellent for our large group. All enjoyed canoeing and swimming on the beautiful lake. We also brought a volleyball net and had a great time every evening with that. The property was clean. There was concern of a gas leak in the oven in the main cabin. We shut off the gas to the oven, but were still able to use the stove as well as oven in cottage. The owner checked on us the day after our arrival so make sure we didn't need anything and to let us know trash arrangements we told her of the gas issue and she will resolve after our departure as we were not needing the oven anyway. Overall, great experience - would return and recommend to friends.
