Enjoy your perfect year round getaway retreat in this renovated guest cottage nestled in the Adirondack mountains on a private lake (shoreline residents only) to the southeast of Lake George. Hadlock Haven is located near many activities including ADK MX, Adirondack Eagle Flyer Zip Line, Golden Goal Park, Gore Mountain, Great Escape, Lake George, Saratoga Springs, Splashwater Kingdom and Vermont. Lake Hadlock boasts a private, non-shared dock that can accommodate up to 21' boat and/or jet ski*. The dock comes equipped with two kayaks, canoe, and a stand up paddleboard. Relax and dine lakeside on the second tier of the dock while you enjoy the warm, clear water in the sandy lake bottom or off the deeper swim platform.
Build a sandcastle in the sand box (sculpting tools provided). Fish, or watch the fish! Relax in the hot tub. Or, just float in the water. Enjoy the fire pit along the shoreline at night. Our lake boasts one of the highest rated water qualities in New York state, if not the highest. Although most visit in the summer, this place is AWESOME year round! The entire lake freezes and is used for snowmobiling, four wheeling and ice fishing.
Hadlock Haven is a renovated cottage with two bedrooms - ideally suited for a small family or two couples. Features: one bedroom with queen bed, the other with a twin over full size bunk beds, living room, equipped kitchen, one full bath with tankless hot water heater, enclosed four season porch, central air conditioner, 2 gas grills - one outside the cottage/the other dockside, bedding, linens, bath towels, lake towels, paper products, flatscreen TVs, YouTube TV, ROKU, wifi, wii, Bose wireless speaker, lots of board games, generator. A hot tub and fire pit are located lakeside.
Attend a festival. Hike the numerous nearby trails. Bike Warren County bike trails. Enjoy Saratoga racetrack. Visit Great Escape. Explore Lake George (12 miles to village). Play golf. Go zip lining! Play mini golf and get ice cream at Hillbilly Fun Park (the best!). Outlet shop. Dine in the many restaurants. Visitor guides are provided to direct you to the many local activities and eateries. Enjoy all these activities, then depart from the crowds and return to a peaceful and relaxing setting. It doesn't get any better! Smoke free. Leashed dogs considered - $100 fee per dog, Cleaning fee - $100, Damage coverage fee required - $59-$99. If booking less than 45 days in advance, full payment due at booking, please.
We own another cottage on the property, but it is never rented and the exterior and dock space are never shared. You may occasionally see my husband or I as we service the property, but we are not intrusive, as can be confirmed by our reviews.
* To protect our lake from invasive species, clean, drain, dry or boat washing/inspection requirements must be met prior to launching.

Policies
- Cancellations made prior to forty-five (45) days of the check-in date: refund of the advance payment, minus a $150 administration fee.
- Cancellations made between thirty-one (31) and forty-five (45) days of the check-in date: forfeiture of the advance payment.
- Cancellations made between zero (0) and thirty (30) days of the check-in date: forfeiture of the deposit and balance of payment, ie full rental price. The refundable damage deposit will be refunded in its entirety.
About the Owner
× About Diane: The property was purchased in 2003. A complete renovation was completed in 2016 and another in 2022. Many a fun day were spent by our family enjoying this gem of a lake and the plethora of year round surrounding activities. The kids have grown and are out on their own except for an occasional visit. It's time to let others enjoy this property and the events the area has to offer. We have been vacation home renters since the concept originated, and have brought to this property the favorite amenities we encountered as a guest at other properties. Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall, the setting is beautiful! There is much to do and explore in the Adirondacks. What makes this cottage unique is Lake, Lake, Lake! It's an incredible fresh water lake surrounded by trees and a northern mountain. It's gorgeous, even when the sun doesn't shine!

PERFECT!
We had a girls trip to Hadlock Haven and the space was perfect! The cottage is right on the lake, so we woke up to the most gorgeous views. It was extremely clean and spacious. There was a fire pit, a patio on the lake, kayaks, and anything else we could possibly need. The owner Diane was very accommodating and she was there is a second if we needed anything. Only regret is we didn't find this place sooner! It is truly a gem. Thank you Hadlock Haven!

We enjoyed an idyllic stay. Love the board games and the Harry Potter books. The dog friendly amenities were especially useful! Such a lovely house and we had everything we needed. We had a great time! The pond is lovely. Thank you so much Diane for being so helpful and responsive. Hopefully we will be back soon!❤️

Your place is very nice and clean. The dock was very nice and it was cool that there was a kayak and paddle board we could use. There wasn't anything that needs to improve because the place was overall really good.

Beautiful waterfront!
We would rate it a 5! Beautiful waterfront, terrific hot tub, beautiful flowers and plants landscaped on the property. You have thought of everything - towels, sheets, glassware, dishes, etc. Very clean. Owners were very easy to work with. Suggestion: It would be nice to have two kayaks vs. one
