The entire Property is Exclusively yours during your stay. We welcome long term stays. please contact for special pricing. 14 miles from Lake George Village. Impeccably cleaned and sanitized. ***We are following the recommendations from the CDC for cleaning and sanitizing in preparing for guest arrival. We have always and will continue to wash All linens, towels & washcloths in hot water with Lysol laundry sanitizer, as well as disinfect every doorknob , cabinet knobs , light switches with Clorox disinfectant, floors are cleaned with a sanitizer, all furniture and beds are disinfected. All homes are spray disinfected upon guest departure and again when the property is cleaned and sanitized.
We are also taking extra steps by Contactless entry onto the property at check-in. We are allowing a minimum of an 8-12 hour air-out period between guest departure and new guest arrival, as well as requesting guest bring their own pillows & towels. We are still providing bed linens & comforters unless you wish to bring own, kindly let me know in advance so that beds will be unmade before your arrival.

Moose can accommodate smaller groups of 10 and under which is the use of Main House. Groups of 10-14 Main house and Guest Cottage, group size up to 21 guest-include use of the *Bunk House and *Main House. Over 21 guests in group size will include the Guest Cottage, totaling 3 homes. The rate is based on how many guests are in your group. We expect honesty in reservations with the guest amount., thank you kindly.

We welcome wedding guests as well as smaller groups and consider long-term renters for any season. A perfect getaway for Gore Mt Ski Center. Moose can accommodate large & smaller ski groups. Moose Mountain is approximately 14 miles from the center of Lake George and from Gore Mountain Ski Center.
Historic Moose Mountain is located in upstate New York in the Adirondack Mountains. Moose Mt currently accommodates up to 25 guests year-round & during the summer season 28 guests. There is also a private space for full RV hook up, please inquire for a separate fee. The property is exclusively yours during your stay. The Main House, Long Branch aka Bunk House and Guest Cottage invite you here for your peaceful Adirondack vacation in the Mountains of the Lake George Area.
Smaller groups of 10 and under have use of Main House, groups of 12-14 include the Guest Cottage. Group size over has use of 3 homes and cottages. Pricing is according to group size for use of homes.

* Large Main House, sleeps 10 with 5 bedrooms, Queen beds. The main house has 3 full bathrooms. Large kitchen, large buffet serving counter & 2 dinning rooms . 2 large screened porches.
* Long Branch/(second house) Sleeps 11 guest. 2 bedrooms with queens on the main floor, Bunkroom upstairs sleeps 8 with 3 twins, 1 queen, 1 comforable queen futon couch. Full kitchen. 1 bathroom. * Guest Cabin sleeps 4, one queen in the bedroom, sleeps 2 on queen pull out couch. Full kitchen.1 full bathroom & 2 screened porches.
* The smallest guest house sleeps 3 with 1 Queen bed w/ twin over top, one bathroom and is only open during the summer, this is a sleeping cabin. We are nearby the Adirondack NORTHWOODS EVENT CENTER, 4 miles north of BURLAP & BEAMS WEDDING VENUE & 8 miles from the beautiful ECHO LAKE LODGE WEDDING VENUE, we welcome wedding guest. We are 15 - 35 minutes from the village of Lake George, Saratoga, Gore Mt ski center /North Creek & the quaint towns of Warrensburg, Chestertown & Stony Creek. There are many nearby swimming, fishing & hiking areas, restaurants, and tourist attractions.
Moose Mt Lodge is a place where time has stood still, reminding us of a quieter, more simplistic time when the family's travel to the mountains for fresh air, peace, beauty & tranquility. When most of the old resorts/dude ranches, motel, and shops were family-run, and the only way into the Adirondacks was by the old routes, before the Northway ( I-87 ).
The old resorts were known for gathering around the campfire, cookouts, horseshoes, tetherball, checkers, chess, shuffleboard, hikes, horseback riding, swimming, reading in lounge chairs, and gatherings in the dance hall. Moose Mt is geared toward the days of yesterday, updated with the necessary modern amenities, wireless internet & tv ( ***please note internet runs at slower speeds in most rural Adirondack areas and can be affected by storms ).
The Main Farmhouse/Lodge, Long Branch/Bunkhouse and Guest Cabins have wireless, a cell phone booster, as well as a landline. ( Verizon) slower service to be expected in the Adirondacks. Upgrade fiber optic high speed for our rural internet to be complete by September 2020. * A large fire pit area for gathering, large yards for volleyball, games & hiking trails.
Privacy and peace in nature abound at Moose Mt. Lovingly and copiously Restored by its previous owner after years of being left idle ,we are continuing in his footsteps with plans of future restoration of The ol' Rec/ Dance hall and the 100x150 foot spring-fed swimming pool & hot tub . This vacation rental is a gem , located in the woods with plenty of privacy and quiet, yet located 10 /35 minutes of all the major attractions in the Lake George/Saratoga area ( should you choose to leave the property :)

Moose Mt is Not A Loud /out of control Party Venue. You may be asked to leave if complaints are given from far away from neighbors, or if you are disrespecting the property. This is firmly enforced. Rates are based on 12 guests with use of Main House and guest cottage which sleeps 12.
An additional home/bunkhouse will be opened for groups of over 12 guests.
The Refundable Damage Deposit of 300.00 is refunded within 7 days of departure date, providing the rental is left in a reasonable manner. Any unreasonable cleaning, garbage left lying around the property, damages to all incidentals used ie cups, plates, towels, linens, pillows, pots, pans, nic nacs, .... will be deducted from the 300.00. Any damages of significant value with be processed through the Insurance Policy purchased upon reservation payment. Kindly do not smash suitcases into the walls, hardwood floors, or stairs. Kindly do not push furniture up against walls or drag furniture across flooring walls. Kindly do not scratch tables, furniture, cabinets, countertops, or appliances. Please keep doors and windows closed when the heat is running or air conditioning. We love sharing Moose Mt, however many years of love, labor, sacrifice & expense went into the restoration of this historic place.

Great getaway
This rental property is exactly as described and pictured - extremely spacious, private and welcoming. It is rare to find a space that can host larger groups and we really appreciated Amy and Moose for hosting us over Labor Day weekend. It’s perfect for a large group to stay with comfortable and clean lodging to spread out as well as plenty of outdoor space to enjoy.
Amy is extremely communicative, responsive and reasonable. She provided great flexibility in finalizing dates and numbers for our group ahead of the trip, as well as some great local suggestions.
Would definitely recommend Moose to any groups looking to stay in the area !

2-5 star nights & 1-1 star night
Our weekend at Moose was great but for the final night.
Prior to arriving, Amy was communicative and helpful with directions & planning for our large group. We explained early that we had folks driving from all over and that #s would vary each night (we had 11 people on the 1st night, 14 the 2nd and 13 the 3rd). Amy was clear that the property was capable of hosting our group and clarified it was not a “crash and trash” rental which we understood and respected. Upon arriving the house was everything she described. We had plenty of space for everyone and the living room was very accommodating for our group. Amy was also able to provide us with firewood at an extra cost for a fire pit that had tons of seating.
Some things I wish I knew before arriving to the property (not deal breakers but informative for future guests): we had no cell service which did challenge communication (the wifi worked well in the main living room of the house though, even with many devices), and most importantly the entire exterior of the house has security cameras set up. We understand a need to protect the property but would have appreciated a heads up.
On our final night we received communication from Amy stating that her neighbor/business partner claimed to have seen us bring 20+ people into the house and that we had broken our rental agreement. This claim stemmed from the amount of cars we had on the property, a result of our group coming from different places for the weekend. After hours of communication with both VRBO and Amy we were able to come to a resolution that we (the group) were satisfied with and Amy was also satisfied with. However, this spent time and associated stress ruined the last night of an otherwise great weekend. We were caught off guard by the false claim and thought that the question could have been easily approached and resolved if not initially handled in an accusatory manner. We would have welcomed Amy visiting the property to check on #s or check the cameras to make sure the rental agreement really was broken. Amy did mention that they recently had issues with guests bringing extra people in and apologized for the misunderstanding afterwards. While we appreciated that, we were left with a bad taste in our mouths & don't plan to return to Moose. I really wish I had a better ending to this story as we did enjoy our first two nights at the house. My advice to future guests is to let Amy know number of cars ahead of time to avoid this.

Perfect property!
My family and I booked Moose Lodge for my son’s wedding in late July & the Moose Lodge blew our expectations out of the water! The property, houses, and cabins were absolulely beautiful and easily held all 25 of us! It was extremely clean when we checked in & Amy was so easy to get a hold of if needed. We will never forget our stay here and we couldn’t recommend it enough!

Wonderful Location for a Family Reunion!
Our family gathers from across the country once every few years and Moose Mountain Lodge was a nearly perfect location! With 17 people, ranging from a toddler to senior citizens, the space comfortable housed us all. The spacious common area was great for socializing and their was a good supply of cooking equipment. The grounds were well kept (but be aware of the deer flies). Also, if you have a large enough group to use the bunkhouse, the stairs up to the second level are EXTREMELY steep so we would recommend not planning on anyone sleeping up there up there who has difficulty walking.
Final note: Make sure everyone in your groups follows the driving directions provided by the host ahead of time (don't wait until the last minute to pass this on). If you enter the address listed into Google Maps, it takes you to the wrong driveway, quite a bit south of the actual one. Most of our family did not have cell phone service through their providers while driving on this street, so it led to some confusion and late arrivals.
Overall, this was a spectacular location to gather and a reasonable distance away from a wide variety of activities for the entire family. The host was very attentive and responded quickly to all questions. We'd highly recommend it!

Wonderful Stay
We had a family reunion here after a stressful time in our lives, and this property was a perfect place for everyone to unwind, connect, relax, and enjoy each others’ company. The property was one of the most clean rentals I have ever encountered. Amy was friendly and responsive. There is plenty to do in the area. I highly recommend this property.

Great location near Gore Mountain and Lake Georgia area
Rental and all went smoothly. Very quiet out of the way location and was perfect for our energetic group to unwind. Everything we needed for our stay was there when we arrived.
A big winter storm occurred when we were to leave but our host was happy to let us stay until it was safe to leave which was very much appreciated.
