Close to sightseeing, hiking trails, mountains and every imaginable Adirondack adventure, this magnificent log lodge has provided restorative connection to many generations. The privacy of the bedrooms balanced with communally shared spaces and access to the great outdoors allow for easeful gatherings of friends and family. Nestle next to the fieldstone fireplace, share a meal or play a game on the screened in porch, swim and explore in kayaks from the expansive lakefront; fun for every season!
After years of camping on Piseco Lake, Helen and Len Andrew bought two lots across from their favorite campgrounds and built their dream vacation home. For generations now, the lodge has been a family gathering place, a launch pad for adventure, and beloved refuge. Now their daughters, Marcy and Beth, along with a collective of friends and family, care for and share the lodge. Even the grandkids are learning to grill, kayak, and install new toilets.
Some of our favorite things to do? Paddle to Rocky Bend. Place scrabble on the porch. Drink coffee first thing on the porch swing in the morning. Do puzzles late into the night. Cook feasts and bake cookies. Hike up the Panther Mountain trail to Echo Cliffs. Words that come to mind when we think of our beloved family vacation home are: restorative, connective, nourishing, spirit-filled, expansive enough to cradle the full spectrum of family joy and struggle. We feel generations of loving care in each beautiful room, exemplified by our mother’s meticulous stitches in her handcrafted quilts.
The privacy of the bedrooms balanced with communally shared spaces and access to the great outdoors allow for easeful gatherings of friends and family. There are guidebooks and maps on the shelves to provide insights into activities that will make your stay memorable. Our guest books offer a glimpse into the adventures (including a few calamities), laughs, feasts, celebrations and the fun times that have been had over the past 30+ years at the lodge. We hope you’ll love the cabin as much as we do.
