A unique 2 family Arts & Crafts Classic style classic home.
This listing is for the "lower-level" or downstairs only with 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, sleeps 8 and is totally separate from the "upper level", as is the whole home! Note that our guests will have access to the owner's outdoor saltwater heated pool, at his hotel nearby. Our unique and high end early 1900's 'arts & crafts' style classic architecture home is located two houses down from the Crowne Plaza Hotel and walking distance to Main Street in Lake Placid for great shopping and dining on the shores of pristine Mirror Lake.
We are also within walking distance of the start and finish of Ironman. Our home was completely renovated and with great care given to every detail and in keeping with the original theme and style. From the well thought out Adirondack décor to the radiant heat, vaulted ceilings, detailed painting, and private bathrooms.
This downstairs or lower level has three bedrooms (king, queen, queen) and full private bathrooms in each plus a half bath as well and a closed family room with a sleeper sofa, AC, desk, TV and sleeps another 2. There is plenty of closet space and a TV in each bedroom plus a large entertainment system in the living room and a washer and dryer. There are large windows throughout and each room is uniquely painted with some having radian heat. The kitchen is high end and opens with everything you will need for that family and friends get together. Our dining area seats eight plus we have a private outside patio to enjoy with a table, chairs, and large gas grill.
Each level is its own separate floor, has a private entrance and is 2000 square feet. The house can also accommodate up to eight cars for great off-street parking. For all of you Ironmen and Ironwomen, there are many great rides and runs right out the front door and with Mirror Lake, the beach and tennis courts about a five-minute walk over. We are a pet-friendly vacation rental...

My name is Jack Irvin - the owner - and I was born and raised here in Lake Placid. I own my own construction company. I have done a lot of outdoor activities around here including a tin man, ski racing, cross country skiing and can suggest a lot of great skis, bike rides and hikes to you - just ask me!

What makes this House unique
We are in a quiet neighborhood overlooking town and just above the Olympic Center, you can walk to everything! Mirror Lake, a public beach, tennis courts and many shops are restaurants are very close by. While you can walk to pretty much everything, there is also public transportation around with a trolly, cab services and Uber too.
Close to town, and plenty of space for our whole family.

We are a family of 4 and 2 small dogs. My children are 19 and 22 years old. The house has 3 nice size bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. We did not use the extra den area but there is plenty of room for more people to stay in this house. All appliances are up to date and there is a beautiful front porch with a limited view of the lake. Very peaceful to sit out on the porch in the morning. The house has air conditioning and a washer and dryer which definitely made our stay very comfortable. The owner was easily accessible and answered all my questions immediately. It is a short walk into town but this is Lake placid so there is a big hill to walk up when you are walking back to the house :) Plenty to do in the area and close to lake, restaurant and shops. High peaks are a short ride away. We would definitely stay again!

Our family had a wonderful time at Jack's house. The house is so much brighter than the pictures relay, and the location of the house at the top of the hill in Lake Placid is perfect. We could easily walk to town and do morning walks around Mirror Lake. Convenient location for all of us to enjoy mountain biking, kayaking on Mirror Lake and Lake Placid, and hiking in the ADK. As noted in the description, the kitchen is well stocked and we cooked every meal there and were able to enjoy together at the large dining table and on the porch. The front porch is huge, we were even able to play corn hole there on a rainy afternoon. Highly recommend this rental.

We had a great experience at Jack’s house. The location couldn’t have been better. Walkable to the center of town. I was there with my family and everyone had a great amount of space for themselves, while still being able to sit as a big group in the kitchen, living room, and front porch. The pictures on here really don’t do this place justice. It’s new, clean, and a great amount of space! Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay in this house. It fit 8 people and 2 labs comfortably! It was very clean and cozy :). Close to everything yet you felt it wasn’t. We loved having coffee on the deck in the morning and sitting around the latge table making memories at night! Looking forward to renting again very soon! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
