Hi, I’m Sharon and I simply love creating things! GO-Cottage showcases my design, renovation ideas and love of the outdoors. Lake Placid is an amazing destination filled with great food, shopping and my favorite skiing, hiking and cycling! Thank you for visiting and we look forward to your stay with us at GO-Cottage!
Our family of 3 plus dog stayed at this property during the winter holidays. The house was as described, small but perfect for us. House was well stocked.

In Lake Placid for a lacrosse tourney. Cottage was perfect location to a few great restaurants, The Corner Store, the lax fields and great hiking. Well maintained and nice appliances, fluffy towels and note/bottle of wine was nice touch upon arrival.
The king bedroom is a walk through from the queen bedroom. Bathroom is small, but updated. Comfortable for 3 of us. Only 3 windows with screens that I could tell, but I am someone who prefers windows open and air flow, so it was a bit stuffy due to hot temps the days we were there. Fans throughout home and an air unit in queen bedroom. Overall would recommend and I’m sure beautiful in fall and winter. Sharon was helpful and responded promptly with any questions.

We had a great time in Lake Placid at this beautiful Cottage. The cottage was very close to everything in Lake Placid and had a great fenced in yard for our pup to play in! Would highly recommend!

We loved our stay at GO-Cottage, 2 bedroom, especially the very soft sheets and comfortable beds and linens. The kitchen and dining room were great too and close to town. We all had a great time! Thanks again for the amazing weekend. We can't wait to come back.

We loved our stay at GO-Cottage! The bungalows are beautiful, clean, private, and cozy. And the location was perfect! Nestled back off the road and just a quick 5-10 minute walk to Main St. and all the attractions. It’s so close to all the hiking trails and amazing lakes too. We can’t wait for our next visit to Lake Placid and GO-Cottage!

Beautifully decorated cottage located in the perfect location. Just a few minutes from downtown Lake Placid and a few minutes from most hiking and ski trails. GO-Cottage was perfect for us! We will definitely come back again. Highly recommend!!

My rating is 3.5 stars, but since that's not an option, I'm rounding up. Overall we had a good experience at Go Cottage. It's an older structure which has been updated in certain some ways giving it charm and it's pretty clean. It doesn't strike me as a home worthy of magazine features as mentioned on the web site. The property is well located with easy access to downtown and the many recreational activities in the area. It is on the main road, Rt. 73, but it is far enough up a driveway that you don't notice the traffic sounds. There are 2 units on the property, the cottage and an adjacent studio, so you may have a neighbor. Everything in the cottage is on the small side. It's hard to have more than 2 people at a time in the kitchen or bathroom (not that you'd want a group in the bathroom, but there is only 1). The "2 bedrooms" are separated by french doors with sheer curtains on them, and you have to walk through the first bedroom to get to the second. There's not too much privacy or sound filtering between the rooms. On the topic of privacy, all of the windows have sheer curtains and no shades to pull down. If the lights are on inside and you're standing outside, it's very easy to see everything going on inside the cottage. There is no real yard to speak of, a few pieces of furniture and fire pit in a very small fenced in area of fading grass and dirt. Sharon seems nice (we only communicated via email) and she's very careful to make sure that the cottage is treated properly by her guests. We arrived in the morning to hike, but check in wasn't until 3:00 and the housekeepers were going to be busy in the house prior to that. After some haggling back and forth, she allowed us to leave our luggage in her garage before we hit the trail head. I would recommend this property for a couple or small family. Two couples should only use it if they don't care about privacy.

My husband and I just stayed here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful. The cottage is set back from the road which gives it great privacy. The cottage is only a few mins from the main strip of lake placid but it makes you feel like your secluded due to its location. The cottage was clean and had a very homey feel. In the bathroom there is an antique tub and shower which always had hot water. It rained several days while we were up there and we had no problem just enjoying the cottage. We never had a problem with internet connection throughout our stay. We have nothing bad to say about this place and plan on trying to book again. Highly recommend.
