Off the beaten path, this quiet non-smoking hilltop home overlooks the Adirondack Mountains and the historic village of Saranac Lake. Saranac Lake provides a central location for your Adirondack adventures.
Saranac Lake provides a central location for your Adirondack adventures. You are only a short drive to Mt. Pisgah Ski and Tubing Center, the Tupper Lake Ski Center and the beautiful new "Wild Center" offering Live Animals as well as walking trails, tours, and Films.
The 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Village of Lake Placid is a ten-minute drive. Whiteface Mountain, snowmobiling, skiing, mountain climbing, and hiking trails are short drive or walk. Not to mention close proximity to forty-six of the highest peaks in Adirondack Park. There are several public boat launches (boat parking available at the house) and a variety of boats can be rented locally. Enjoy canoeing, fishing, water-skiing, sailing, and golf.
For those of you who enjoy quaint shops, antiques, fine dining, theatre, outdoor concerts, or pampering at a day spa, these activities are also available in the area. Don't forget the locals' favorite treat - homemade ice cream served at Donnelly's Dairy during the summer months.
You are only a few miles from the Mt. Pisgah Ski and Tubing Center and Lake Placid.
Enjoy skiing at Whiteface Mtn., boating, rock climbing, hiking, fishing, and golf.

About Us:
I was born and raised in the house! It is continually updated and improved since it burned right after the '80 Olympics. Everything inside and out has been re-done over the past 7 years! While it is not on a lake, the view is beautiful from our private hilltop retreat only blocks away from the village of Saranac Lake! Walk to restaurants, grocery, Carousel, Bowling Alley, and historic venues and Museum!
Why we think you will enjoy staying in Saranac Lake: Saranac Lake is the home of great, reasonably priced restaurants and only 12 minutes to the hustle and bustle of Lake Placid and the Olympic Venues. Hiking Mountains and Walking Trails are available without a car. Tennis Courts and Beach and Boat Launching are available without costs are within a mile and a small ski slope with a Tow and Tubing (Mt. Pisgah) is available several miles away!
Why our property is special:
We provide everything from Linens to spices, condiments, coffee and tea and wood for the Fireplace. The Kitchen is fully equipped with every pot and pan to small appliance. You can walk to town for your groceries or cross-country ski or Snowmobile along the railroad tracks.

Home away from home
What a great escape for my family. The kitchen was fully stocked with every kind of pot and pan and appliance you could need, including microwave, toaster and a super convenient hot water pitcher. Linens were clean with plenty of blankets for extra warmth. The couches and rocking chairs were super comfortable and there was lots of great visitor info in the packets. Internet was smooth and the bathrooms in great working order with good shower water pressure. My whole family hopes to return again soon!

Perfect Adirondack Retreat
This house was perfect for our family of 4! The 3 bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The picnic table was a favorite spot to enjoy the outdoors. We very much enjoyed our family time as we relaxed, hiked and played an epic amount of Uno!

Excellent value for comfy and cozy accommodations
My friends and I loved the place! So comfy and cozy. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, serving plates and even food containers. We also loved how close it was to great restaurants and a grocery store...less than a 5 min. walk. We would totally consider staying here again for a little weekend get away!

Idyllic Interlude
Four of us guys went up to the Adirondacks for our annual hiking adventure. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The property is ideally located in the High Peaks area of the Adirondacks. The house was clean, orderly, and well-equipped. We were very comfortable and within walking distance of a grocery store and downtown Saranac Lake. The wooded setting of the house is beautiful. We saw several deer from the property. If we ever go back to that area, this is where we'll stay!

Great family stay and central for many things to do.
Great little house that fit a family of 5 with no problems. With just a couple fans and cool nights, sleeping was comfortable. House came with everything we needed and lots of charm. It was easy to communicate with Anne, and she responded quickly to our questions and provided helpful information. Spent a few days boating and fishing on Saranac Lake, hiking up Mt Ampersand (long but very scenic from the top), and a quick drive to the Olympic areas of Lake Placid.

Great quiet location for walking to town
Anna was great in helping us check in and the property was cozy as expected. Fully functional house with all amenities. Drawbacks were no A/C but that is uncommon for the climate, downstairs towels with mildew which needed to be washed before we used them. Also there is a metal spiral staircase & king bed is a foam style. Neighbor's cat was very friendly!
