Welcome to High Peaks Rentals. We are proud to offer multiple 4-8 bedroom luxury log homes in the Whiteface and Lake Placid area, with over 500+ 5 star reviews. We can host weddings, multi-family get togethers and and of course quiet "get away from it all" retreats. All our homes have automatic whole-house backup generators. This luxurious log home sits on 5 private acres and provides wonderful views of the Sentinel Mountain Range. The amazing views can be enjoyed from the huge 1000 sq. foot deck as well as the master bedroom adjacent screen room or from inside the home on all three levels through the abundant glass. Bike, walk, hike and cross country ski on the surrounding country side. More extensive activities can be found in the surrounding High Peaks Region. We are only 4 miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski area so you can be on the slopes in minutes. Lake Placid and the Olympic Village are just a 15 mile ride where you can find many shops, restaurants, and activities. There are also plenty of wonderful local restaurants (Keene) and bars (AuSable Forks). Rivers, lakes, and streams can be found in every direction to enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, or swimming. Back at the house there is plenty of room to relax with over 3800 sq. feet of living space. The multi-zone heated and individually air-conditioned cedar log home features a great room on the main floor with twenty eight foot high ceilings and a full glass front to let in the views. A fireplace with a large stone chimney creates a cozy atmosphere for all the guests. Adjacent to the great room is the dining room with plenty of seating, and a kitchen will all top of the line appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and settings you need. Also located on the main floor is the master bedroom suite with a king size bed. The master bath has heated floors, his and hers sinks, a walk in shower, a bidet, and a European style heated towel rack. There is also a half bath on the main floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, both with king size beds and window day beds. The second floor also has a full bathroom with a whirlpool tub and a heated towel rack. Lastly, the loft area has a guest PC. On the lower level there are 3 bedrooms – 1st bedroom has a king bed, 2nd bedroom has 2 x Twin over Twin with Twin trundle bunks that can sleep 6, and the 3rd bedroom has a Twin over Full with Twin trundle bunk that can sleep 4! All bedrooms have huge glass windows to take in the views. There is also a very large rec room with plenty of entertainment options. The lower level also has 2 full bathrooms with walk-in showers. Additionally, there is a laundry room off the kitchen as well another one downstairs. There is also a 3 car oversized parking garage. Further, the outside also features a BBQ on the deck as well as fire pit for those late starry nights. For the little ones, we also provide a crib with a mattress, a high chair, and a pack 'n play. Lastly, there is a 7 person Hot Tub and 8 person Sauna situated over a heated patio under the stars!! There is also an automatic whole-house backup generator on premises so that mother nature doesn't interfere with your stay!

Minimum Stay Requirements:

Winter months of December, January, February and March - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. MLK and Presidents Day are 4 night minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry.

Late Spring months starting May and through last weekend of June have 3 Night Weekend minimums. Memorial Day is a 4 night minimum.

Summer months of July and August have 7 Night minimums, depending on the week and availability. Friday to Friday or Sunday to Sunday stays are preferred. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Ironman Lake Placid event is a 5 night minimum.

Fall months of September and October - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Labor Day, Columbus Day and Thanksgiving have 4 night minimums.

Xmas and NYE stays have 5 and 7 night minimums.  Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry.

Please note there is a mandatory $200 Pet Fee. Pets have to be discussed and pre-approved by the owner.

Best Weekend Ever

Spending the weekend here was the best weekend of my life. Gene was kind enough to let us host our small wedding at 2 of his properties. He was great to work with and helped to create a magical weekend. We will definitely be back. They are one of the best places to stay in the Adirondacks!

Very nice place and owner was very nice

My entire sales team and I (11 people) stayed at this home and had a pleasant experience. Everyone love the hot tub and the sauna. The other rentals are very close to each other including the Grand Meadows that we were at. I would still recommend it to anyone who is looking to have a team building event or going on a retreat. It is tough to sleep 20 grown adult men in the house but would not be a problem if you had children as well as adults. Thank you very much to the honor for the awesome experience.

Stunning Property and Great Property Owner

We held a small, intimate wedding at the grand meadows lodge. The property was absolutely stunning, and was even better in person than it was online. Everything was incredible from the modern appliances, to the state of the art bathrooms, to the decor - which perfectly captured the elegance of the Adirondacks. The property was perfect, and gave us the wedding of our dreams.

The property owner Gene was great to work with as well. He was incredibly responsive (replied to all texts and emails within minutes), very accommodating (we asked him for a rake to be brought to the property, and one was delivered in 15 minutes), and overall just a pleasure to deal with.

I couldn’t recommend renting this property from Gene strongly enough. The entire experience was one of the best of our lives.

Great Family Vacation Rental

We visited the Lake Placid area as a group of 4 families (14 people total). This property was fantastic and definitely made the entire stay even more enjoyable.

The house is huge and very rustic-feeling (but still grandiose and luxurious) and there are enough beds for everyone in our party. In addition, the driveway and garage are more than enough for all our cars. The various amenities of the house were all fantastic and very clean, and we made use of the hot tub, sauna, and outdoor fire pit often during our stay.

There are no real grocery stores nearby, so would recommend bringing or buying food ahead of time. The kitchen is extremely large and has everything you need to prepare your own meals. There is a second fridge in the garage, and there is also an outdoor BBQ as well.

The property owner, Gene, was very professional and responsive with any questions or concerns that we had during our stay; a true pleasure to rent from, and we would not hesitate to do so again.

Corporate Retreat meeting

We rented 2 properties from the owner that are side by side and had a total of 17 adults (men) staying between the 2 houses. 9 in one, 8 in the other. Everything was better than advertised.

We were there mid week and brought just about all of our food and cooked in for almost every meal. Kitchen had pretty much all of the basic tools you need. Properties were clean and beautiful. Look at the pictures and the place is even better than how they look. I would highly recommend this place for a family get together or others looking for a place to have corporate meetings. The owner also has a third property really close to these 2 and if we did it again, we would have probably rented all 3 because we had a few that stayed in downtown Lake Placid.

The only draw back to the area is there is literally no cell phone service but the owner has installed micro cell towers to overcome that issue.

Fantastic spot, and a real crowd pleaser.

This is the second year in a row that my company rented this property for our annual ski trip, and it is fantastic. The house is beautiful, the views are awesome, and the amenities are top notch. On top of all that, Gene is great to work with and extremely responsive. Very highly recommended.

Ski vacation

This property was amazing! We loved everything about it. Very close to the ski hill and not far from town. The owners were available by text for anything we needed and responded in a timely matter. Fit our large group of 16 perfectly with lots of room. Loved the large table as we were all able to sit and enjoy our meals together!
I rate this a 5 star plus and will definitely be back!
