Welcome to High Peaks Rentals. We are proud to offer multiple 4-6 bedroom luxury log homes in the Whiteface and Lake Placid area, with over 1200+ 5 star reviews.
We can host weddings, multi-family get togethers and and of course quiet "get away from it all" retreats. You can find all our homes by searching online for "HighPeaksRentals". This spectacular log home is nestled among tall pines on six acres and provides wonderful views of the Sentinel Mountain Range. The amazing views can be enjoyed from the large deck or from inside the home on all three levels through the abundant glass. Bike, walk, hike and cross country ski on the surrounding country side.
More extensive activities can be found in the surrounding High Peaks Region. We are only 4 miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski area so you can be on the slopes in minutes. Lake Placid and the Olympic Village are just a 15 mile ride where you can find many shops, restaurants, and activities. There are also plenty of wonderful local restaurants (Keane) and bars (Lake Placid and AuSable Forks). Rivers, lakes, and streams can be found in every direction to enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, or swimming.
Back at the house there is plenty of room to relax with 3000 sq. feet of living space. This pine log home features a great room on the main floor with a fireplace and twenty six foot high ceilings and plenty of glass front to let in the views. Adjacent to the great room is the dining room with plenty of seating, and a kitchen will all top of the line appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and settings you need. Also located on the main floor are two bedrooms with king beds and a full bathroom. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a king size bed and a walkout balcony.
There is also a master bath with shower and a deep soaking tub. The second floor also has a loft area with a guest computer and a reclining chair. On the lower level there is a bedroom with a twin bunk/trundle bed and a twin/full bed to sleep 4-8 kids! The bedroom has huge glass windows and french doors to take in the views. There is also a very large rec room with ping pong and a TV media room with plenty of entertainment options. The lower level also has a full bathroom with a shower and a laundry room. On the deck you will find a BBQ, a hammock, and a dining set with an umbrella. On the outside, there is a covered 7 person Hot Tub and a 6 person Sauna situated over a patio that leads to the fire pit under the stars!! Lastly, the home has zoned heating as well as centrally located and individual air-conditioning.
Minimum Stay Requirements:
Winter months of December, January, February and March - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. MLK and Presidents Day are 4 night minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry.
Late Spring months starting May and through last weekend of June have 3 Night Weekend minimums. Memorial Day is a 4 night minimum.
Summer months of July and August have 7 Night minimums, depending on the week and availability. Friday to Friday or Sunday to Sunday stays are preferred. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Ironman Lake Placid event is a 5 night minimum.
Fall months of September and October - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Labor Day, Columbus Day and Thanksgiving have 4 night minimums.
Xmas and NYE stays have 5 and 7 night minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry.
Please note there is a mandatory $200 Pet Fee. Pets have to be discussed and pre-approved by the owner.

Great mountain house!
Only good things to say! Loved the open space of the kitchen/living area, comfy king bed (!!!!), ping pong room and games provided were awesome, very clean, big enough yard for our German Shepard to have space to play around, awesome grill, great fire pit area to view the stars. Loved the house and would be thrilled to return!

Great place for family gathering!
This rental is well situated to host a family. There is plenty of space for different ages to make themselves comfortable. We did some skiing at Whiteface mountain and visited Lake Placid as well as a few other attractions. The weather wasn't as ideal as we would like but we still had a wonderful time. The driveway is a fairly long dirt road which had ruts with water and ice in them but we made it in and out without problems. The property manager was very responsive.

Outstanding!
What an amazing home! It was so beautiful & CLEAN. We were visiting the area for the first time to nordic ski at Mt.Van Hoevenberg. We were about 10min away from skiing & around 20min. from down town Lake Placid. The hot tub & sauna were perfect for relaxation after a long day of skiing. This is the best house we have rented so far. LOVED this trip!!

Everything we expected and more
Our visit to Whiteface/Lake Placid was everything we expected and more! The house is absolutely beautiful! The owner has thought of every detail. The house is only an 8 minute drive to Whiteface and we were so lucky to get 18 inches of powder while we were there!! We can't wait to go back again next year!!!

Great place
A beautiful cabin with a fantastic view. So much space for everyone to hang out together or spread out through the place. Hot tub and sauna are a perfect way to relax. Gene is always very responsive to any questions.

Absolutely loved it
We absolutely loved it.
The house was fully equipped. Amazing views. Short drive to the Whiteface Mountain. The sauna and the jacuzzi were a perfect way to relax after a long day of skiing. It was a perfect getaway for a group of friends and family.

Always a pleasant stay
This was my families second year enjoying this property for our Christmas holiday. It’s always clean, has what you need, and the easiest hosts to communicate with. Enjoyed many nights in the hot tub, playing ping pong, and enjoying the beautiful sunrises with family. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay in Jay NY
We really enjoyed this cabin, it was immaculate, well stocked with the essentials, and check in check out could not have been easier. The owner was easy to reach. The cabin was located very close to hiking in the Jay range, Whiteface, and the high peaks region. It is set in a very quiet, area with beautiful views. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
