Our family of five greatly enjoyed our week-long stay at the Jay Mountain house in August. The setting was incredibly peaceful, private, and allowed plenty of space and opportunities for us to get outside and explore. The interior of the house was clean, tastefully decorated, contained all the amenities we needed, and provided ample space for a comfortable stay. We have stayed all over the ADKs, and this location proved to be one of our favorites. Easy access to ample hiking opportunities and unique swimming options, but still close enough to spend a day in Lake Placid, or even an evening concert on the beach in Wilmington. Additionally, Susan, the owner, was incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and receptive to communication. Thank you for helping us make this ADK stay another memorable experience for our family!

The home is spacious, comfortable, and has all the needs you want. The front/back yard and deck is perfect to sit back and enjoy the stars and mountain views. Everything about the home is inviting, peaceful, and close to Lake Placid and other attractions. I stayed here for Ironman Lake Placid and had no trouble getting to and from the house.
I enjoyed the stay so much I booked an extra night and I am glad I did. It rained and it made my experience even better sitting in the deck with a glass of wine and seeing deer walk around the property and neighborhood. I will definitely return!

My husband, son, and I stayed at this property for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. The accomodations were great, the property was beautiful, and the location was close to lots of attractions. Highly recommend!

We had a great visit at the Jay mountain retreat. We had most of our dinners at the house because the backyard setting was so beautiful. Hope to stay again in the future.

This was a perfect getaway for our family! The property was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching the sunset and stargazing. The home is very comfortable and inviting, and it's on a peaceful street with easy access to hikes and Lake Placid. We would love to return!

Very private no neighbors seen or heard. Very comfortable beautiful home. The porch is so well designed we could enjoy even a rainy evening watching the clouds roll through the moutains. Great sunsets and view of whiteface. Beds are great and bathrooms are fantastic
