Lovely home away from home

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was spacious, clean, and well stocked. The view of the lake from the deck was spectacular. I would absolutely recommend this property to family and friends...And we hope to visit again!

Beautiful Lakefront Home

Really enjoyed staying at this property during a Cooperstown week for my son. House was fully stocked with all that you could want. The drive to the fields was approx 12-15 min, which was manageable. We spent many hours fishing off of there dock and small little beach area. Would stay again if the occasion arose.

Terrific setting atop a hill, overlooking Lake Otsego.

House layout was perfect for us--a multi-generational family. Plenty of space, nicely appointed. Quiet sitting room for grandmom. Modern kitchen, large breakfast room with many windows--plenty of light and great views. Outside deck with yard--great for the kids, as was the family room with fireplace and big screen TV. Beds were very comfortable. Upstairs layout practical for families. Kayaking from dock across the street. Easy ride into town and local attractions--Farmer's Museum and village, Cooper Art Museum (Andrew Wyeth exhibit currently), and Cooperstown, home of many great shops and the baseball Hall of Fame. Peter was acccessible by email for info and details prior to and during our stay. We are grateful to have NYRBO options like this.

Great mini vacation in Cooperstown

My family and I stayed at the Deer Ridge Lodge in Cooperstown, NY for 2 days to see the Baseball Hall of Fame and other sites in Cooperstown. The house was a perfect fit for the 6 of us. The kitchen is big and clean and has everything you need. The living room is huge with a very comfortable sectional and large television. The house sits on a hill and you need to cross the street to get to the lake (only drawback - be careful crossing the street if you have small children). If it was nicer weather, we would've enjoyed going out on the lake in the complimentary kayaks and canoe. The house is very close to the downtown area, only a few miles drive. We visited the area out of season which is anytime after Labor Day but we enjoyed going to the Hall of Fame, Cooperstown Distillery, Ommegang Brewery and a few good restaurants before leaving the area. I recommend the house if your family is looking for a nice, cozy place to stay that's close to everything.

Spacious, comfortable house in Cooperstown, on Ostego Lake, near Dreams Park fields

We were in Cooperstown for the Dreams park Tournament and decided to rent a house instead of booking a hotel room. In hindsight, we are so grateful we did and this property was perfect for us! We were able to make meals before, during and after baseball games, and we were happy to come back after a long day at the ballpark to the comfortable and open spacious outlay of a house (instead of a small, crowded hotel room). Overall, the house was much larger than expected (!!) - with a good sized kitchen, a dining area overlooking the lake, a dinning room (that we never used) and 3 large family/sitting rooms for 'hanging out. The were 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds, 1 with 2 twin beds) that were not so big, but were fine as we only spent time there sleeping. The house is across the street from the lake, but the house has a small private dock that we used for fishing and swimming. We also used the provided 2 kayaks and canoe. Two full bathrooms and laundry were available. Our only 'complaint' is that we wish the water pressure in the showers had been a little bit stronger. Overall, the house as kept neat and clean, and we enjoyed the use of a BBQ for dinner one night. The house is conveniently located about 10 minutes to downtown Cooperstown, and ~15 minutes to Dreams Park (I do not know the distance to the All Stars park). The owner was very easy to deal with - he answer all questions before our visit. I highly recommend renting a house if you are in town for a Cooperstown tournament - and I highly recommend THIS house.
