What a welcome experience just the place needed recovering from open heart surgery. Although weather prevented most outdoor activity we found warm and comfortable with puzzle and craft watching the leaves fall. It was a joy. Thanks do much

We have a family of six (children aged 13, 11, 9, 6) and this was a perfect getaway for us. Our goal was to get there, unload the van, and relax without having to leave the property. With all this property has to offer we were able to do just that! Swimming was excellent with a very kid-friendly shallow beach area and the water getting deeper further out for our more adventurous swimmers. The water temperature was cooler with the later season, but the hot-tub was perfectly placed right on the shore-line for those in the family who prefer to stay a bit warmer. The four kayaks accommodated all six of us with our youngest riding in the middle of the largest three-seat kayak. We made excellent use of the kayaks, paddle-board, and the pontoon boat to explore the lake... there is a fun little rock island to the north-east of the property that we enjoyed climbing on and found a good spot for rock-jumping into the deeper water! In the evenings, we enjoyed the fire-pit outside and the abundance of stocked games and puzzles inside. Family meals were enjoyed on the very large dining table with more than enough room for six!
The house itself was very clean and is nicely laid out with a pleasant cottage feel blended with very comfortable standard amenities. The heaters installed in the house were very welcome for our cooler evenings.
The owners were incredibly fast with all communication, were very accommodating, and went the extra mile to have us feel welcome and relaxed.
Our family absolutely loved this experience and we are already planning a longer stay for next summer!

My family of 5 (and viszsla) thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lakeside Cottage. Along with picture perfect weather, we so enjoyed the cabin, lake, dock, boat, kayak and paddle board. The cabin is even more lovely than pictured - nice large kitchen area and plenty of room at the dining room table that looks directly out onto the water. My 2 girls loved the cozy loft area. The other two bedrooms are a nice size. We just loved the windows in the master and living area, how they opened with a pulley!
Just a few steps down a slightly sloping path to the water , we enjoyed sitting with tea and coffee in the morning on the water's edge deck. The kids (and adults) had a great time swimming and the sandy lake bottom was great. The swim out dock was a big hit with the kids.
Lots of fishing happened during the week, with marginal success - caught some small mouth bass and rock bass.
Such a beautiful and clean lake! I enjoyed several early morning and evening kayak rides.
Donna was very responsive when we couldn't connect to wifi- just took a few tries and resetting the modem/router and we were good to go.
Took a day trip to Alexandria Bay (1+ hrs) and a trip to Lake Placid (2 hrs) . Hiked on Wanakena Trail to Cathedral Rock and had a phenomenal view from the fire tower - highly recommended, only 25 mins away.
We had never visited this part of the Adirondacks and really enjoyed our time. We hope to come back to Lakeside Cottage in the near future!

We had such a lovely week at the cottage. The home was comfortable and quiet, fishing not bad for mid-summer, the water very warm so we enjoyed swimming off the dock and off the pontoon boat, relaxing in the hot tub, sunning in the morning on the deck, overall a very nice week at the lake.
My only complaints (very minor) would be the house does not have potable water which was not advertised and a bit clumsy but easily rectified with multiple trips to the store and for some reason the TV did not get basic TV channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) which was weird considering literally hundreds of cable networks were available - usually its the other way around. Again very minor. Overall a great week!

We loved all the amenities that came with this lake house ! Beautiful lake and stargazing was incredible. We were not aware that water was non drinkable so had to make that purchase after arrival. Plenty of space for 5 of us and dog friendly !! Pet friendly , our pugs had fun exploring and swimming.

We all just loved the house and being together on a quiet lake for a family vacation...no distractions. The boys really lucked out with the fishing with one of them catching (and releasing) a rainbow trout! I read two books outside under the trees. Lovely spot, peaceful. The owners are terrific and very responsive too, thank you for sharing your cottage with us! We had everything we needed and then some. Marion M

What a great cottage with a fantastic lake view. We rented this cottage while attending family weekend at St. Lawrence University (25 min. away) so we didn’t enjoy all the amenities to their fullest. The weather was a little cool but our boys did use the kayaks to fish and went in the hot tub afterwards. We also used the fire pit the first night. We did have a few family dinners with my daughter and her friends. They enjoyed taking a break from the dining hall. The kitchen was well equipped. We brought all our food in a large cooler so we didn’t have to shop while we were there. The toaster is the only appliance I would replace as only one side worked. The house was very clean and nicely furnished. The pictures are very accurate. We would definitely rent again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
