Perfect home away from home

Three of us came up from NYC for a week in the country. We had never rented a house for a vacation before, and in fact our initial plan was to get two hotel rooms.

Wow, am I glad all the hotels were booked up! If that hadn't happened we never would have found this house.

We had a MUCH better vacation at this house than we ever could have had staying at a hotel, and after staying here once, we've realized how much a house like this can contribute to the rest and relaxation.

For three of us, there was of course so much space that we could all have some solitude. (There's even a second living room, complete with a second home theater system, in the finished basement!)

The kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools and appliances one could want, and a BBQ grill is on the patio... a real treat for us city slickers! And the fact that the kitchen is open to the living room means that we could all hang out together for the entire meal, from prep to cleanup.

For those meals we chose not to cook, we found some great restaurants less than a mile away. Next time we visit we'll try some that we didn't get to the first time!

Finally, the house is perfect for attending any event in Lake George Village. It's just far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle that can overcome the Village during big events, but close enough that the ride into town was just a few minutes.

Highly recommended!

A Home away from a home!

My family and I just came back from this beautiful home with the most magnificent views. This home is nestled in the Adirondacks yet so close to Lake George with out the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Rose has everthing you need in a home for your use, We had breakfast with a view every morning.and watched the stars at night by the campfire.
Rose I can't thank you enough for sharing you home with my family and giving us such great memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you !!

Vacation with the family

This rental Property is on the riverside with great facility for extended family who like to vacation together. For two years in a row I have had the honor to rent from Mrs. Rose. She is very kind and accommodating to her guest. Her close friends Kelly helped to check us in and out from the home and were a great resource for the area. My family 4, my parents 2, my sisters family 3 all stayed in the home as it was our own. It is plenty big enough and If you have a group of preteen and teenagers the basement is a great place for them to camp out for the week. with there own tv and bathroom it has plenty of room for them to enjoy vacation. The two loft rooms are large enough for 2 couples as well as the master BR. If need be a blow up mares in the study will work out as well. Enjoy the night life of Lake George and attend some of the natural local treasures. I recommend the fort, fireworks, arcade, natural bridge stone, and the old time carnival like amusement park Santa land great for the kids. Enjoy your vacation, Rose provides a great resource book for menus and planning.

A Special Home for a Special Occasion

I chose to celebrate my 50th birthday in this wonderful house. I can honestly say that the stay at the Warrensburg home was the best vacation rental we have ever booked. And the location for the Garage Sale festivities could not be beat! Everything was super comfortable and cozy and it felt like a home away from home right from the first moment we entered.
The kitchen is strategically placed in the center of the main floor and its location (and Rose's collection of cook books) inspired me to make some excellent meals while we were up. Visit Oskars Smokehouse on the main road on the north end of town for a delectable selection of meats to put on the grill! We had some local friends over for my birthday dinner and the kitchen, living room and dining room area were perfect for entertaining. A good time was had by all.
We also did some hiking in the Southern Adirondacks, climbed Mt. Hadley (amazing), visited Fort Ticonderoga, dined in Lake George and scoped out North Creek for future white water rafting excursions. We had some rain and didn't make it out this time.
We plan on returning to the area and staying at this inviting home again.
