We had both Old Glory and the Sunset Cottage. It was great for our large group. Great location right on the water and plenty of local hot spots within just a few miles.

Brian was very quick to respond to messages and all questions that I had. His place was as pictured and literally steps from the lake. You have to ask for towels and sheets before (this is new to me but I think something that is known around this area - I had seen it on other locations too), no beach towels, hair dryer, paper towels, and only 1 trash bag (so we waited until the last day to take it out). There was a variety of cooking utensils and dishes along with a gas bbq grill which was wonderful to use. There is one small AC unit in the living room that does not keep the rooms cool very well (we had doors open and all the little fans on in the room). The doors to the room and bathroom do not shut very well and will wake you up if someone opens/closes them to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. There was a lot of dust in the bedrooms that you could easily see behind your head under the bed and along all the baseboards (my allergies acted up the whole time). There were a ton of extra pillows but no pillow cases to put on them (I'm sure we could have asked if we really needed some). The beds were comfortable.
We loved having access to the dock and the wifi was great. We were here for a wedding so the location was perfect, the kayaks, canoe, and paddleboard were great, too. We were able to park our rental car there as well. All in all, it was a good stay and would recommend staying here.

thank you for the honest feedback as it helps me to improve my place. i apologize for the lack of garbage bags and pillow cases. i have let the cleaners know about the dust and i will look at the doors. i know the bedrooms do not stay as cool as the main area with the ac unit running but good thing you did not stay before the ac was put in:) i will but a table fan in each bedroom to move some air at night. thanks again for taking the time to write the review.
We were Brian's first airbnb guests, as he normally rents full week rentals and is now trying out airbnb, and he was amazing! Very friendly host who owns 3 beautiful places right on the lake, has canoes and kayaks to borrow, beautiful docks and porches. This place was exactly what we were looking for! Quiet, beautiful and relaxing. Brian had everything for us that we had forgotten, the place was perfect and clean and he offered good recommendations about the area and truly cared about how our stay went! Highly recommend!
