If you're looking for a nature retreat in the NW corner of Adirondack Park with lots of amenities, this is the place for you! The cabin is well behind the farmhouse, right beside a river. The screened porch is great for meals and bird-watching‐‐ we saw a loon with 10 checks, a hummingbird, blue jays, and lots more! The house is beautifully decorated, has a vintage stove which is so fun to cook on + grill outside, and kayaks, firepit, swim hole with tram access, as well as walking trails provide lots of options for outdoor adventure.
Sandy is very hospitable and provided us a fire starter when we couldn't get our campfire going (because it had rained quite a bit before we arrived,) a mosquito net and repellent to keep the bugs at bay, and freshly baked cookies. And the handmade soaps and candles from her company are such a treat‐‐ balsam fir is my favorite scent!
