Superb Stay.

Everything about this property was gorgeous. The rental we stayed in was clean and thoughtfully appointed. There was a porch that overlooked the adjacent estuary, and access to a clean, private beach. The owner was friendly, kind and helpful. This was a fantastic vacation spot. We will be back!

Absolutely Lovely

We loved our cottage stay. The property was full of charming little touches which allowed you to feel the history in the years of this little farm. The grounds were well kept, with a view of the open waters, marshes and wildlife. We were visited by deer, bunnies, egret, huge hawks, an owl and an abundance of opsrey. Patrick was wonderful and helped us to feel right at home. He is filled with interesting facts and stories about the surrounding area. He is a welcome friend at an evening bonfire. The little private beach was the perfect respite. Shopping in town was limited due to the current situation, however we were able to get a wonderful takeout meal from Anker47. Also purchased some licorice and bath salts from Sweet Indulgences. Perfect for a warm relaxing bath in the claw foot tub. I look forward to returning!

Fabulous place to stay

More spectacular than the images on the web. The sounds of nature abound but do not disturb. Truly magical.

Such a magical place

It was our 4th time at Cherry Lane Farm. The property is stunning with sprawling lawns, its own beach on the bay, and a beautiful salt marsh full of egrets and herons. We've stayed in the Main House with family too and both the house and cottage are clean, well-equipped, and have tons of breathtaking views. Pat is a wonderful host -- thoughtful, fun, kind, and very knowledgeable about all things North Fork. Easy access to town too. A magical spot that we feel lucky to return to!

Amazing Time at the Beach

We were lucky enough to find the time to make a visit to this magical place. We loved waking up to the beautiful views of the water and wetlands. The beach was huge and so close to our cottage. We enjoyed walking along the shore, picking up beautiful shells. Our son loved playing with the hermit and fiddler crabs, and had tons of space to run around. Pat was a fantastic host and gave us lots of great ideas for fun things to do in Greenport. We can't wait to book our next visit here.

By far one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have ever stayed!

No matter what time of year it is, you will find peace and tranquility here. I was lucky to experience fall, winter, and spring on the property. Amazing views, cool breezes, starry skies, and a private beach are just a few of the perks! The owner cares deeply about his guests and always strives to make them comfortable. The cottage is very clean, light, and beachy feeling. Whether you are a single person or a family with guests, I highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed.

Relaxing bliss, with fresh blueberries

Spending the week at Cherry Lane Farm on the beach is the most relaxing thing ever. The cottage is rustic but sparkling clean, and having a full kitchen and two charcoal grills means cooking all the fresh bounty right there makes it feel like you're home - but relaxed on the beach.

The private beach is gigantic and great for swimming, sand castles, fishing, or cooking over the host's giant kettle firepit. The inlet makes taking canoes or kyaks out super-easy, and the protected salt marsh on one side of the property makes you feel like you're surrounded by nature and the bay. The picture posted of the sunset over the salt marsh - which is just off the deck on the cottage - doesn't do its beauty justice.

It's a 15 min walk to downtown Greenport and Aldo's famous coffeeshop, and a shorter drive to the nearest wineries on Long Island, so there's plenty to do. Plus your host Pat is affable, and always up to suggest new things to do or point you to the best spots for shopping, dining, fishing, or boating.

Highly recommended; you can have any weeks except the ones that we go down each year!

No Place Better

Our seven night stay at Pat Nelson's cottage was absolutely fantastic. A perfect combination of beach and country are all on this seven acre paradise. Pat is the pefect host , and offers his kayaks, charcoal grills , and many other things to make your stay enjoyable.
I'd give TEN stars if possible.

Beautiful and relaxing--can't beat the location!

My family spent a lovely week here at the end of June--nature abounds in this peaceful and gorgeous setting. No need to "pack up and go to the beach"...the beach is right here, on the property. This is my second or third time staying in this house, and each time it just gets better. Incredibly laid back, convenient, and just stunning! We'll be back.....
