Very attentive, willing to answer whenever we had a question. Other than the weather which they had no control over our stay at Sunset Cottage was amazing! We got married had many family and friends with out a problem. I would rent again in a heartbeat. So quiet and tranquil. Had everything we needed and the cottage is beautiful!

our stay at sunset cottage was absolutely wonderful and we would definitely recommend and stay here again. many activities for children and adults, and so many spots to relax and enjoy the surroundings. house is very well appointed and we appreciated things like the hot tub, fans in each bedroom, small pontoon boat and kayaks, cooking amenities in the kitchen, and washer/dryer with detergents and dryer sheets.
when we had an issue with the clothes dryer not working, the owners got someone out to fix it immediately - incredible service!
a couple things could use some tlc...the stairs into the lake, aging parts of the decks, aging kayaks (totally functional but worn), and the shower head in the only shower is too large to really function. that being said, we wouldnt hesitate to stay here again because the positives outweighed any negatives. and the lake....omg its the most beautiful!!!

We had a great time ! The inside was very cute. I was worried about the wood situation and a fan but there was plenty of wood for the fire pit, fans inside and it had a nice grill with extra propane tanks. We were able to launch our boat at someones private launch they were very helpful and polite. We gave them a "donation " for letti g us use it and he let us keep the boat trailer on his property for the weekend. It came with more than I expected. It was like camping in luxury. If you dont mind being in the middle of nowhere this is your place. The neighbors were very polite and told us to enjoy it and we did.
Things we didnt like. The driveway was very steep. The flies were out of control in the morning. It was tough having 1 bathroom for 9 people. The shower was really small but it did the job. The deck is huge but could use a pressure wash and some paint. The door was a little tough to open and close but we never bothered to lock it day or night. All the ladies said they would definitely come back.

Tranquil spot on Trout Lake. Loved the sleeping porch! Plenty to do on the water and hanging around the house. Very relaxing. We all hated to go back to reality.

The kids loved swimming off the dock, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and cruising around the lake on the pontoon boat. The view from the hot tub is breath taking. The house was very comfortable and the kids really liked the sleeping porch. Camp fires at night capped off perfect days on the lake. The house and all the amenities included made for a great family vacation. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

We absolutely loved the house. It had everything we needed for our long weekend on the lake. The deck was beautiful to hang out on, we even had the games going on it all weekend. We had a problem with the boat but I immediately contacted the owner and someone was there to give us another boat the very next morning. The only few things I would mention that is good to be aware of, the one screened in bedroom that is off the deck is literally that, all screens, no glass windows so it can get very chilly and damp in there. The beds provided in that room though are very nice and comfortable. The other piece of information that is important to know ahead of time, unless you have 4 wheel drive you may want to park on top of the hill and bring ur stuff down. The day we left it was raining and it took us 2 hours to finally get the car up the driveway. Other than that it was a great weekend and Donna Clark is a delight to work with. I would absolutely rent from them again!!! Oh.... and I thought it was wonderful to walk in and see a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us on the table, very nice touch!!!!
