Warm, wonderful place. Step right out the door to the lake.
Our first time here, but we will be back for sure. Sandy and Bruce are wonderful hosts, and make sure you have all your details, directions, house information etc before you arrive. They had wood for our first outdoor fire, and there are lots of places nearby to get more wood.
Hague is such a quiet little town, and we love being able to walk to The Hague Market for coffee, muffins, and other things we need.
The house is not fancy, just very comfortable. Our family loved that we could spread out in the living and dining area, but still all be together. The kitchen is fully equipped for vacation cooking.
We rented a boat from Dockside Landing Marina, and Scott the owner could not have been nicer. Island View has a very large dock and we enjoyed lounging and fishing from the dock .
Waking up to the sunrise, and falling asleep to the lapping waves is something we won’t soon forget.
Sandy told us that the most special time to be at Island View is when there is a full moon, as she says, “there is nothing more beautiful than moonlight on Lake George.”
They were just starting to adorn the property with multitudes of flowers in pots and baskets, so I can just imagine what it looks like by mid summer.
All in all, we loved Island View and can’t wait to come back. Thank you Sandy and Bruce for sharing your wonderful home with us.
