We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Jan's Lake Ontario Style House!

This beautiful, quintessential home embodies the perfect vacation feel and boasts stunning views of the lake. The property is amazing, and the high-end hot tub house with its incredible view is a real highlight of the stay-- perfect for a relaxing retreat, especially in March when it's cold and gloriously windy!
The house itself is beautifully appointed, with every amenity you could need. Don't worry if you think you’ve forgotten something—Jan has provided everything you could imagine! The kitchen was a joy for both cooking and baking, and the dining room offered spectacular views to enhance every meal.
Jan was an exceptional host, sending us daily recommendations that led us to wonderful antique shopping and cozy cafes. We also enjoyed a short drive to Rochester, just over 30 minutes away, where we explored museums and had an amazing meal at a local restaurant.
We hope to be back soon!

The cottage is super comfy with superb views of Lake Ontario.

Jan the host is a pleasure to work with and communicates quickly with any want or need you might have or request! She gives great local recommendations and really looks out for her guests. Thanks again, Jan!!

This cottage is welcoming and very homey.

There were supplies there that I don’t even know I needed. The view is amazing! Even though the weather kept us inside a bit more than we expected, it was very cozy inside. The hot tub was amazing too! Would definitely return!

It was a great stay.

Weather was not cooperating our first day. But it was nice to be inside to enjoy the warmth and view of the lake. We will do this again next year!

We enjoyed our stay at Jan's cabin so much!

In all we had 3 adults and four young teens and there was something for everyone to enjoy. Kayaks, a big wooden swing, the adorable upstairs bunk bed loft, and a TV with netflix and youtube kept the kids occupied, even when the weather was a bit cold and rainy for August. We enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, the back patio, and an unblemished view of the stars at night. The kitchen was very well stocked with tools, dishes, seasonings (which is important to us so that we can cook our own meals) and everything was labeled which was very helpful. Jan gave us tons of recommendations of things to do in the area, it's too bad we didn't have time to visit everything that the Sodus area had to offer this time. I expect we will return here for a getaway next year.

The stay at Ferryland was amazing!

Ontario lake is such a powerful and beautiful place to be. Jan made the stay possible, easy and comfortable. Will highly consider vacationing again here!!!

Jan was an incredible host.

Not only did Jan provide a clean and comfortable stay but she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. She sent several helpful tips and links to navigating the area and how to access everything during our stay. She gave several recommendations for food and activities during our stay. She was very good at communicating and being flexible during our stay to accommodate an early arrival and late departure. I was very pleased and impressed with how well everything was stocked and how detailed the listing was. The hot tub was wonderful and well taken care of. The view was absolutely incredible and right on the water. This space has a cozy cabin type feeling. Will be returning in the future and bringing the kids to join in on the fun.

girls geatway

I booked this home for a girls get away for my daughters 12th birthday, in the middle of a winter storm! Jan had told me it wasn't there typical winter weather but she was so accommodating with the shoveling and making sure we were alright. It was absolutely perfect for the family get away we needed. my sister and I are already planning our next stay. Jan is very helpful and knowledgeable with things to do in the area so if you stay during nicer weather you will not be disappointed there at all. We wanted serenity. People are so friendly in town. We ate lunch one of the days at Captain Jacks and you get your money's worth! Family/Bar restaurant with a gift shop attached. You can't go wrong with vacation here and I highly recommend staying with Jan!!
