Wonderfully relaxing mini-vacation. Even the dogs enjoyed their fun in the snow. Would love to spend more time in the Fall in this very comfortable home.

After a last minute change in locations due to a septic tank mishap, the landlord was very accommodating by offering a smaller property across the street at a discounted price. We enjoyed a hike in the woods and being so close to downtown Diamond Point. Very easy to find, welcoming and clean. We didn’t have great cell phone service, but there was internet. The only issue we had was all the notes all over with detailed instructions. Made us nervous we would do something wrong. And expecting 11 people to leave by 10am checkout and run dishwasher and empty it before we left, along with other tasks to close the house seemed a little above and beyond guest responsibility. So happy we asked for a later checkout time.
All in all we had a great time and landlord was very friendly and easy to work with.

Very gracious and communicative host. Melissa was helpful and informative throughout our entire experience. From initial booking to post checkout, she provided thorough, relevant, and helpful information about the property and surrounding areas. The house comfortably accommodated our party of eight with an infant and small dog. The kitchen is small, but it was adequately equipped with enough items to easily prepare all of our meals during our stay, to include Thanksgiving dinner and breakfast every morning. The driveway is narrow, but was able to accommodate our three full size trucks. The walk from the parking spots to the house is slightly downhill, muddy, and slippery, which could pose a challenge for someone with mobility issues. Be careful and watch your step and you should be fine. It's an older home with a rustic feel and located slightly off the lake front (a short walk from the house to the dock), but the nightly rate is extremely fair for the location and the property. The dock is large and overlooks the lake. It can accommodate several people fishing or relaxing in the sun. Short drive (12 minutes) to a decent trail walk up to "The Pinnacle" which is an easy/moderate 1.5 mile hike with a great view of the lake from the top. We were there over Thanksgiving so the town was fairly deserted, but there were several businesses and locations which appeared to be a great time during the summer months. The home provided an excellent opportunity for our family to all be together and spend quality time for Thanksgiving.

The property was great. But the owner called during my stay asking for the money for the rental because vrbo. Hadn’t paid her. I called vrbo and they said she was paid. On the day I left she still was not paid. Very annoying. I will never use vrbo again
