The Sunset Says it All...
My family and I had the most amazing experience spending our summer vacation at Christina and Steve's camp! I wouldn't even call it a camp, I would call it a home. All of the rooms have been renovated and the floors are beautiful. Communication with Christina and Steve was easy and I believe we actually made some life long friends. They treated us like family and we are beyond thankful for their hospitality. When you arrive you have to drive down a long stretch of road, almost as if you are detaching from the hustle and bustle of the real world. The speed limit is 10 miles per hour, but that's the point, at the lake life slows down. There was a lovely TV with internet so you could stream movies, I do admit I did have to do some work, but the internet was great! Not that you need a TV because the property and dock/beach is all you need, but the TV is good if it rains (you can snuggle up and watch a good movie). This is a place where you can truly be with your family and just enjoy everyone's conversations. Our two year old spent most of his time swimming and playing with his beach toys on the property. My parents came to visit and raved about the place, "it has everything you need," my mom said. The house actually does have everything, all your dishware, pots and pans to cooks, wine glasses and a big freezer for all your meat! There are big beds and cute pocket doors for some privacy. There is a row boat and paddle boat for your boating pleasure and the water is just beautiful. Life jackets are provided and there is enough outside seating for the entire family. The campfire area is big and you can literally sit by the fire all night. My husband's father and brother came to visit and I almost thought that they would never leave... they loved it as mush as we did. Just a short drive from the village of Aurora and Long Point State Park. We jogged everyday all over the area and after a long hard run, nothing is more refreshing then a glass of wine form Long Point Winery just up the road from the house. All I can say is that the camp fires, family time, beach, parking, the property and the owners were more than what we thought they would be... in the end the sunset says it all. Breathtaking!!! We are blessed and thankful.
