We had a great time decompressing at the Forest Pond Cottage in Lowville NY. Just on the edge of the ADK park we enjoyed xc skiing and snowshoeing on the local trails. Without wifi or cell service we finished a 1000 piece puzzle and had a great time remembering how to function without technology. Warm, clean, and comfortable. Would recommend!

This was the perfect place for me and my dog to escape the city and have a quiet Christmas. There was some snow, and it was fun to tour around the surrounding land on my cross-country skis. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, and the bed was super comfortable. Not having internet or cell service was a blessing - I actually read a very thick book! Dan and Carol are terrific hosts - they made sure I had everything I needed (including a little Christmas tree), they even loaned me snowshoes! I hope to come back in the summertime.

We booked the cottage for a long weekend in November. The cottage is amazing. It's in a beautiful spot in the woods and sits right on a pond. The cabin is clean and well appointed and had everything we needed. We had a great time watching otters playing on the pond right out front. We would love to go back

This is a lovely, peaceful, small cottage with everything you need to make it a cozy stay. The host was so nice and made everything easy. We did have a problem finding the place as I didn’t receive detailed directions after asking (and an old website had the wrong address) but once we found it everything was great.

We had a great time relaxing at Forest Pond Cottage. The balcony, bonfire site, and dock chairs were perfect for stargazing on the clear nights we had. On the more blustery day, it was lovely to stay cozy by the fire with coffee and board games and watch the rain on the pond. Carol and Dan were lovely and we were especially thankful for the ice cream recommendation! We hope to visit again soon!

Our stay here was wonderful. Carol and Dan have a beautiful place and our great people to deal with. The pond and scenery are something straight out of a magazine. Cabin was very clean and had everything we could possibly need. Secluded and peaceful was just what we were looking for and got. Would definitely come back here again in future and recommend this place to any friend or family member looking to get away.

The cottage was perfect. It was very clean and Dan and Carol were great and if we needed anything we were told to call them. The cottage had more than we expected and it made our vacation wonderful. My husband loved the fishing. We will be coming back for another vacation. We watched the beavers rebuild their dam and went for hikes on the various trails. Beautiful sunrises. We went for a ride to Stillwater and a bear crossed the road in front of us.
