Pros: cozy old-fashioned house, comfortable beds. the house is laid out such that if you need to have people sleeping in the living room on the pullout, there is a bathroom on each floor so no one has to worry about waking others up during the night. The creek is GREAT. Bring water shoes with treads (the rocks can be slippery).
Cons: This is the first time I've had to leave a negative review, and I dislike doing it, but feel responsible to future potential guests.
When we arrived, the host confronted us in an aggressive and disrespectful manner about parking in the wrong place. She had given us no specific information about rules for parking (just "you have your own house with your own driveway and parking space"), so we guessed. It seems that she was worried we would run over a pipe buried underground, but they didn't have that area marked, so how did she expect us to know? Also, we hadn't been parked over the pipe, we parked in the driveway. On top of all that, she berated my father about it, who hadn't even been the one driving. It was all very strange and upsetting, and we felt unwelcome for the rest of the week.
We otherwise enjoyed our stay, but in all honesty I can't say we would stay there again. We are pretty conscientious as a family, and the stress of not knowing if something was going to set her off again put a cloud over our vacation.
