Saratoga Week

We were thrilled to hear the River House was, once again, available to rent. We were met by the lovely caretakers who provided all necessary information regarding the home and amenities and assured us they would be available if we needed anything. The house is very clean and comfortable offering plenty of space for gathering and also areas for solitude. The location is perfect for a group of friends to reconnect and enjoy the many activities in the Saratoga area. The proximity to the racetrack, restaurants, shopping, casino and the spectacular river views make it hard to beat! We made frequent use of the bicycles and kayaks to explore the river and towpath. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and cooking supplies. The owners made sure everything you might need was supplied along with a thoughtful gift of local jam and honey. A very pleasant surprise! Thank you John and Sue for a wonderful trip. It was a pleasure dealing with you.

The River House is great!

My family and I spent four nights at the River House and really enjoyed our time there. We took in everything the area has to offer...the track at Saratoga, Lake George, hiking Prospect and Buck mountains, etc. Then, we were rewarded upon return from our adventurous days to the River House. Everything about it was exceptional from the minute you walk inside as the house is well appointed with lovely furnishings, a great kitchen, large living area with a huge TV, spacious and comfortable bedrooms and a screened porch with darts. We had some great games. Then there's the huge deck overlooking the Hudson with plenty of water craft. The fire pit for the evenings was the perfect way to round out the day. What a stay. Can't wait to get back and you should go too!

Paradise

The River House is in a beautiful location surrounded by nature,
We had an amazing stay the owners thought of everything to make our stay not only comfortable but enjoyable. All the kayaks and water “toys” provided we loved using. Swimming in the river biking and walking on the tow path right out your door made our trip. The gardens are beautiful and you could just sit on the deck and stare at the river go bye forever. The house was immaculate.
I have rented many homes and none as clean as this one. We saw blue heron, white tailed bunnies, turtles and butterfly galore. It was hard to leave and hope we are lucky enough to come back to the River House again.

Our River House Experience

Our stay at the River House for July 4,2021 was a fun and relaxing experience. The house was well maintained and immaculately clean. The wood work and and open concept first floor provided a feeling of modern warmth and the views of the Hudson were the perfect backdrop for our weekend getaway. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable for a good nights rest after a day out wine tasting and enjoying the town. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Can’t wait to go back.

Schuylerville Riverfront House

The house was really great for our vacation. It was relaxed with a cabin-like feel. It was nestled between the Hudson River and the tow path for the Champlain canal, both of which we enjoyed daily. The locks and park upriver were visited multiple times, and a bald eagle was spotted twice. Bikes, kayaks and a canoe were available. I highly recommend this property. Thank you for a lovely vacation!

Fantastic Family Vacation Property

We were looking for a quiet family getaway and Lake House fit the bill perfectly! Secluded and quiet but close to local attractions. Owner/managers very considerate, house well maintained with lots of room, great deck right on the Hudson and great fishing with easy river access. Everyone had a blast and looking to revisit next year!

July at the River House

We just returned from a one month stay at the River House and enjoyed every minute. The house and river are as pictured-but even better in person. The river was so calm, more like a lake, and perfect for floating, kayaking and swimming. The canal was great for fishing. My son caught bass almost every day. Beautiful, relaxing memorable family time. We miss it already!

Idyllic

Really enjoyed our week staying at The River House! Wanted a place that was right on the water where we could tuck away, "work from home" but enjoy that it was summertime -- and this was the perfect spot! It was easy to stumble out the door and walk the dogs, my daughter and her cousins were able to jump in the kayaks when the work day would end -- and, there was a variety of outdoor areas for us all to spread out and get calls done or simply enjoy the sun and solitude! Downtown Saratoga is an eleven minute drive and we loved doing take out for a couple of breakfasts and dinners -- otherwise, the kitchen was roomy and fully stocked and we loved the chance to grill on the outdoor grill and then afterwards make s'mores in the fire pit! The caretakers are so helpful and lovely and right nearby -- they were a text away for any question or need we had, which were few. We are already talking about when we can return.

A great family get away

My family and I had a wonderful thanksgiving at the river house. The open floor plan was great for a day of cooking and still being able to visit with everyone. The bedrooms are nice and spacious. There was plenty of room for all of us including my sister’s dog
