A very charming home, I would stay again. The bedroom were good for 6 adults.

Only complaint would be to replace some of the pots and pans and have some casserole type bakeware.

Nice house for a relaxing Thanksgiving weekend

Very beautiful house, comfortable, spacious, and clean.
Very nice house to have a vacation with a group of friends. Todd, the host, was amazing and very responsive. We had the greatest time over the weekend. We are already thinking of coming back during the summer to enjoy the kayaks in the lake.
Highly recommended place!

Nice House for a Relaxing Week

This was a nice house, big, but still cozy. The big fireplace in living room was great to gather around on a cool autumn evening! The yard was really nice as well, and we enjoyed watching nuthatches, woodpeckers, and blue jays getting ready for winter. We used it mainly as a home base for hiking around Lake George (in the Tongue Mountain Range) and the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness, both great places to explore.

Wonderful home to enjoy Brant Lake and the Adirondacks

My husband, tween son, and I stayed here for five days along with our two black lab mixes. The house was wonderful — very clean with sweet rustic/lake house decor, and literally everything we needed (and didn’t know we needed!) was provided. This included a small ping pong/multi-game table, tons of board games, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, kayaks and life vests, a great kitchen with all the pots/pans/etc to cook at home, and more. The layout was great - bedrooms and bath upstairs, with kitchen, dining room, another bath, laundry, and several different sitting areas on the main floor, giving us room to spread out. The house could easily have accommodated more people if we had a larger group.

The location was perfect for us — steps from the lake without being in a busy area, just around the corner from the town boat launch, and close enough to a little downtown area that we were easily able to grab groceries, pickup takeout one night, etc. We enjoyed hiking (15 mins to the Pharaoh Lake Trail trailhead), biking the 13-mile perimeter of the lake, fishing the lake and the nearby Schroon and Hudson Rivers, kayaking, and enjoying all that the Adirondacks has to offer.

We planned this trip on short(ish) notice to replace a week in Maine that was canceled because of COVID. I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful, dog-friendly home to spend a relaxing week making memories and adventuring with my family. Todd was an excellent host, and I would absolutely come back and stay here again! My son is already talking about coming back in the winter.

Very comfortable

The house had everything we needed and accommodated our family well. The older children enjoyed the gaming table and we had a great time around the fire at night. Living areas and dining table was just perfect for meals.

Perfect place if you are looking for quiet, wilderness, and relaxation

Brant Lake is a lovely vacation destination if you are looking for quiet, wilderness, and relaxation. Todd's house is on a lovely piece of land - big yard, ample driveway. The house feels like a cozy cabin, it has its quirks but that's part of the fun. The kitchen is well equipped. We have friends who own a home on the lake within walking distance, so that is where we spent most of our days. There isn't a public beach on the lake, so Todd's dock access is great -- you can rent a boat from the local shop. We had an issue with our reservation and Todd was very helpful and quick to communicate -- great host!

Perfect relaxing vacation in the beautiful mountains

My family of four (including a 19 and 22-year-old) had a fantastic 10-day vacation. Todd is very responsive--emails returned very quickly to answer all questions. His brother Jason came by--very warm and friendly. The house more than accommodated us--very comfortable living room with large cable TV, and a dining room with another den sitting area near the roomy kitchen, and a sunroom, huge yard to play Wiffle ball, etc, frogs croaking in the small pond. Three decent sized bedrooms, comfortable beds--one wood-paneled with side built-in desks which were perfect for my son who had to work. Sat around the fire pit at night. Lake boat dock just down the road for the canoe (a bit heavy) or get kayaks if can. We loved Loon Lake beach about 20 minutes away, a charter boat trip at Bolton Landing on Lake George (25-30 minutes away) with Captain Tim (expensive but worth it), can also rent boats, take get ski tours, etc. great food at Odd Duck restaurant in Chestertown (10 minutes or so away)--Bolton Landing and Lake George great towns to walk around, restaurants, stores, near the lake. Perfect relaxing vacation in the beautiful mountains.
