Stephen is awesome. clean, spacious, perfect for a weekend with friends! Open living are so everyone can hang out, cook, and watch TV together. Location is awesome and I will definitely be booking this place again. Also great is that it is pet-friendly!

Stephen is an amazing, amazing host. The house is beautiful and was absolutely perfect for our group. The location is fantastic as well since the mountain is right there but it's secluded back from the road. Stephen even helped us build a fire since our Eagle Scout couldn't figure it out. We had a phenomenal time at the house. Looking forward to renting again!!

Great spot! Right at the base of the mountain, walkable to downtown Hunter, but nice and quiet. Well-built classic A-frame. Stephen is a great host super helpful and friendly.

The place is just as beautiful and clean as advertised. Stephan was a very attentive and kind host. He made sure we had everything we needed. He started a fire for us to make s'mores. He even walked us down to a secret swimming hole. It was like having the river to ourselves!! I will definitely be coming back.

I booked at the last minute to visit an old friend who was staying with family close by for the week, and needed a place to stay for me and my dog who doesn't do well in hotels or loud homes. The space was perfect for us, as there was a good sized living room and kitchen to spread out and relax when we needed a break from the house full of kids. The front of the house was all windows and we had a lovely view of the woods in front. It felt secluded, but it was at the base of Hunter Mountain so this city girl didn't feel too exposed to critters and creatures. The house was really clean and decorated very nicely, so it felt like a cozy cabin; a perfect escape from the city. Stephen was really nice, very easy to communicate with, and was super attentive while giving us privacy to do our own thing. It was a lovely little trip, and I hope to be back the next time we need to escape from Brooklyn. Highly recommend!

Stephen is a kind, warm, helpful, and generous host who is wonderful with children and really made himself available for any questions we had about the house--which is uniquely located both walking distance to stores/places to eat, a swimming lake, and Hunter Mountain, yet also feels wonderfully private--and the area, which I can imagine visiting year-round. My four-year-old son, his good friend Luca (also four), and Luca's parents and I had a wonderful summer stay. The house is cozy, clean, and beautifully cared for, with a great upstairs nook that's perfect for several children. The boys loved the treehouse and hammock (not to mention Stephen's beautiful dog). We've already started plotting our next trips there.

Stephen's place is a true gem house! We have booked his place a day before our arrival as a last minute decision for a getaway since we live in New York City and had desired for a quit and peaceful place to stay in. His house provided all our wishes and needs!The house is even more charming as it seems in the pictures, every detail is so matches and done with a great taste. The surrounding of the house is so magical, the house located in the woods in the middle of the forest and for people who ski in the winter it's a perfect location since it's right in front of the ski hunter resort. Beside the ski there are so many other activities to do in the area, horse riding, pick berries (or other fruits), omega ( biggest in North America), hiking, waterfalls, fishing and etc. Stephan and his girlfriend were so gracious, kind and helpful with everything that we needed and even with the things that we haven't asked he took care and supplied! We are so thankful and appreciating for his superb hospitality! We can't wait to be back again! Definitely recommend for a perfect getaway vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay at Stephens cabin! It's cozy and warm, and he even set up the fireplace for us! Hiking nearby and literally at the foot of hunter mountain. It was such a great getaway for our group of friends. Highly recommended!

We rented a property marked "NEW". Even when our host replied to our request to book right away, we still had our doubts about our stay. But, we loved this property from the beginning to the end of our stay. House is lovely, chalet-style building, and is bigger inside than from the outside. Wooden panels add charm and coziness. There is a huge window that overlooks a porch that we used a lot. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals, and also our host provided us with the grill for barbecue that we enjoyed big time. Beds were comfortable, and bedding was soft and ... new. We only used three out of four bedrooms downstairs, but there are a couple of beds upstairs that will accommodate families with kids. Water pressure in the shower was good, there was plenty of towels for us. Stephen, our owner, was great!!! Thank you for your hospitality, we can not wait to get back to your wonderful house sometimes this summer.
