Description
This "Catskill Mountain House" offers a retreat for all seasons. This is not a share house, but rather a "home away from home retreat" perfect for 3 families plus kids seeking eloquent and fun accommodation. As such there is a surcharge for PERSONS over 6 occupants and our maximum adult occupancy is 10. The reservation is for you and your guests only, with private use of the entire house and property.
Situated on 11 secluded acres, perched just above the Great Esopus River and bordering the proposed Belleayere Resort, this "Catskill Retreat" is located amidst the epicenter of "Catskill Park and Catskill Ski Region". The property is adorned with creeks, springs and indigenous fauna and is located literally 6 minutes - "driveway to driveway" from Belleayre Ski Mountain, and approximately thirty minutes from the regional ski centers of Hunter, Plattekill and Windham.
This newly constructed home was built in 2016 and has every modern amenity. Specifically, amenities include:
3 Bedrooms (1 with a king bed), 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bedroom with a queen and bunkbeds); Large Loft Area with 2 semi private sleeping areas (2 queen and 2 sets of bunkbeds). The loft also includes an outdoor veranda offering beautiful mountain views, a gaming area including a pool table, dart board and board games.
Open Concept -Main Living Area boasts an open floor plan, designed for entertainment, with a combination great room, large kitchen/ island, dining room / living room. Main Living area is furnished with a rustic barn wood dining room table, rustic stone wood burning fireplace and a large screen TV. The main living also includes a large barn-wood bar with all bar-ware included. Enjoy the outdoors provided by a 16 foot glass sliding door and deck overlooking the property and mountain views.
The "rustic chic" design has a monochromatic color scheme of grays, browns and natural wood, incorporating barn-wood and wood-plank ceramic flooring. The kitchen has beautiful gray maple cabinetry, soapstone counters and galvanized steel backsplashes. Appliances include stainless steel refrigerator, gas stove, and dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to host a quiet dinner for two or a large dinner party. Main Floor bathroom decor includes a marble tiled shower/tub combo with a double trough barn-wood sink and commode.
Downstairs bathroom includes a marble-tiled shower and rustic barn wood trough sink and commode. The downstairs area includes a living room with a wood burning stove and a large screen TV, 2 glass sliding doors offering lots of natural light and easy access to the stocked and stacked available firewood. Downstairs also includes the "equipment area", offering organized storage of all ski/hiking/hunting/mountain biking/fishing/tubing and sledding equipment.
Generally parking is available immediately adjacent to the house, with 2 additional auxiliary parking areas for guests. A large fire pit is located within the front of the property. Warm and Inviting. Perfect for Skiers!
Terrie's place was warm and inviting. Great for skiers with 1st floor entrance and a place to keep skis, boots and all our accessories. We skied in the rain on Friday and were able to hang all our items for 5 skiers to dry for our Saturday ski.
Terrie was very responsive to my initial questions when I arrived.
We had a wonderful time.

Perfect for Families. Comfortable Rooms and Great Amenities!
We had a great with 3 families & our children. Rooms we cozy, beds were soft & Bellayre was 6 minutes door to door. The mudd room was excellent for ton of gear we had & the bar was a welcome touch after a long day on the slopes. We look forward to returning!

A wonderful weekend at Terrie's beautiful mountain cabin!
What a wonderful weekend at Terrie's beautiful mountain cabin! The space was beautifully appointed and felt very cozy even though it's HUGE! Our old friends from college were getting married down the hill, and Terrie's place was the perfect staging point to reconnect and relax after the festivities. 8 of us slept very comfortably and there was plenty of room left over. Terrie was great with communication and check-in was simple and easy. The views were gorgeous, the beds were comfy, and even though it was unseasonably warm, there were plenty of fans. Too bad it was so hot, because we would have loved to light a fire in the fire pit and sit in the adorable little hot tub. I guess we'll have to come back in the winter! Thanks Terrie!

Home was amazing, so comfortable, cozy and huge. They had all the touches and amenities. Beds were comfy, everything was perfect. 3 min from Belleayre. Terrie was so easy to work with and communicate. We’ll be back.

Perfect Family Ski Retreat Near Whiteface!
The location was perfect for skiing at Whiteface. We had lots of fun playing pool, cooking in, and sitting by the fire. Perfect for 2 families with kids- two bedrooms with king beds on the main level. Otherwise another bedroom downstairs with a full and a bunk + 2 more similar sets upstairs in the open loft (total of 6 beds on the loft level). The mud room was key for ski gear and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. Terrie was quick to respond to messages.

The property is conveniently located from Belleayre. Several accommodations inside the house and a grocery store 3 mins away make it a very convenient and comfortable stay.

Perfect Stay. Spacious and Convenient to Belleayre!
Terrie's place is exactly as described. There is plenty of space to fit a large group of people, and the house is only ten minutes away from Belleayre Mountain. The house was warm and the beds were comfortable. We didn't have a chance to use the fire pit outside, but the fireplace in the living room served us well! Would recommend and would stay again.

A great home away from home.
The major feature of this comfortable and attractive home in the "great" room - a single large space for a TV viewing area with several recliner chairs and a leather sofa, a dining room table that accommodates 8 people, and a kitchen with island. The bathrooms were clean and fresh with plush towels and lots of hot water. The kitchen had all of the cooking and food prep tools you could possibly need. The entire experience was close to the kind of comfort I want in my own home, which is neat, attractively appointed, and well organized. A great home away from home.
