Description
The guest house is located on the Hudson River in the charming village of Coxsackie. Space has a fabulous sunrise view, two bedrooms, and a beautifully tiled bathroom with a jacuzzi tub.
There is a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There is not a full kitchen.
The location is within walking distance to a wine shop, restaurants, and a coffee shop. The yard is lovely and there is a dock to sit on next to the water to enjoy the late afternoon sun. In summer months, access to the pool during specified hours may be possible. Unrivaled location. The location is perfect for weekend visitors to explore the Hudson Valley area from.
There is hiking in the Catskills, kayaking and boating on the river, art sculpture gardens to visit, or the solitude of a quiet back yard. Eagles to watch! There are a few restaurants in town within walking distance and many in the neighboring river villages a short ride away. Take out menus are available in the guest house.
The guests have access to the back porch and deck. There is a public boat launch at the end of the street where guests can launch kayaks and boats. It's a beautiful park and has a great playground for kids, tables for gathering and grills for cooking.
I am living in a house on the property with my chocolate lab and two cats. We love the company and will be available most of the time to answer questions. My sons are in college and maybe home to visit on their breaks and are eager to be helpful also. Denise’s place is located in Coxsackie, New York, United States.
Coxsackie is a quaint river town and has several new businesses in the historic downtown area a short walk away. Mansion and Reed is a coffee shop with a small store with beautiful bread from Woodstock's Bread Alone. The Yellow Deli is a lovely lunch spot with a deck facing the river and has homemade soups and sandwiches.
There are other restaurants and a wine boutique wine store. The public boat launch has a beautiful playground for children and there are concerts in the summer. There is an Amtrak train station in Hudson about 20 minutes away. There are Uber's available in this area.

Such a wonderful view! So calming.
Such a wonderful view! So calming. We were there in dead of winter and just sitting and looking through that amazing view keeping an eye out for bald eagles and watching and hearing the ice on the river ebb an flow was a balm for the soul. Local winestore was excellent and delivered! Denise was welcoming and responsive.

The view was wonderful.
The view was wonderful. Beautiful sunrise, comfortable beds. There was a problem with the radiant heat, but we were immediately provided with a space heater and blankets until the problem could be fixed.. We would definitely return to enjoy Summer months at this nice location.

It was clean and comfy.
My stay at Denise's property was great. It was clean and comfy. I traveled with my husband and 4 month old baby for the labor day holiday weekend to get away from the noise of the city. My baby slept great and so did we. The area was fun in the day and quiet at night - exactly what we wanted. Denise is a great host. I sent her tons of questions before going up there and she was very kind patient and quick to respond. We even got to hang out by the pool one evening with her and the neighbors and they are just all around good fun interesting people. And you cannot beat the location. The sunrise and sunset on the Hudson is priceless. I would definitely stay again.

Denise was communicative, kind and welcoming, and her home was a wonderful stay. The guest apartment is spacious and very nicely done with lots of nice touches, an amazing view of the Hudson river, and she keeps it incredibly clean. I would highly recommend to anyone and would certainly stay again!

Denise’s place was truly relaxing and super clean. She is a great host ! We were looking for a quick escape and so glad we booked here. You could stare at the river for days. We got to explore the farmer’s market down at the park and ate at Che Figata which was delicious. All within walking distance. Can’t wait to come back and explore more of what the area has to offer.

Denise was a perfect host at a quiet, cosy house snuggled in the hudson valley that can best be described as a treasure. We had a wonderful weekend sitting by the lake, swimming in the pool, and playing in the grass with our boys and puppy. We will recommend this place to our friends and hope to return soon.

Denise was a perfect host. Her place is clean and comfortable. And the view from the window looking at the Hudson River OMG was spectacular! I loved watching the sunrise in the morning while drinking my coffee while everyone’s still asleep. She made us feel welcomed always had time to chat with me and my husband. She allowed us to use the pool that was enjoyable. It was nice seating near the dock watching boats and jets skis go by. We’ll definitely want to come back again. We were amazed that there are great places to eat like Che Figata, The Yellow Deli, And Paul’s Pizza. Thanks Denise for being a wonderful host we really enjoyed our stay!
