We were looking for a quiet weekend the see the last of the Fall and we found this great little cabin surrounded by forest right down the road from a huge lake. If that's important to you, this is a great place. The house is lived in, but clean and comfortable. Some of the furniture is second hand but the sofa and the bed are new and that's what counts. We especially apprciated the 2 TVs and the WiFi which allowed us to work and to stream movies. We were raised with wood stoves so enjoyed the Pellet stove at night when it got cold. If you need central heating this is not for you. When you pay ... a night, you should expect that the glasses will not match, but everything worked and we had everyhting we needed. We will be back!

What a perfect little spot! Headed up for a little weekend writing retreat and this simple, rustic place was charming, cozy and just what I needed for some quiet time in the woods. Loretta was responsive and her instructions were clear. Ideal space for one or two people looking for a simple place for laying back. I'd love to return!

The cabin is in a great location. It was like camping with the luxury of not needing to do all the work to set up and much less packing. Loretta has kayaks that you can use which is a great option, wish we had been able to use. We sat by the fire and enjoyed the grounds both nights. We spent Sat hiking near by where we were able to see 3 water falls. The area is so beautiful. Sat night we drove over to white lake and had a great dinner. The price is great . It’s rustic but charming.

This was a little slice of paradise for us! The location is exceptional with 3 lakes that are accessible with the kayaks that are included with the rental! We spent pretty much two days kayaking! Quick responsiveness of our hostess Loretta! We will be back! The cabin is so homie and the only thing you will need is food, linens and clothes!
Only complaint- we wish it was bigger because we would love to share this spot with friends and family! So many visits from the local deer; in the woods out back, or in the lot next door! Nice fire pit and Weber grill for outdoor cooking!

I booked this location for a Labor Day weekend getaway and it was great! I think it is exactly as advertised and the place was clean when we arrived. It is a rustic little house, but we loved it. To clear up some of the other reviews, the shower is a single stall, older shower but it was clean, had plenty of hot water, and had great pressure. We really enjoyed the fire pit, outdoor seating, hammock, and the two kayaks were a great bonus! It was a 10 minute walk to the reservoir on a quiet road and a one minute drive with the kayaks. The reservoir is quiet as well which we appreciated. Loretta emailed me the manual for the house quickly and I found the notes as well, which cleared up any questions. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely stay again! This place has great value with all the outdoor extras.
FYI we found some great dining in the area! Highly recommend The Local Table and Tap for dinner, Java Love Coffee, and just a 15 minute drive for great wood fired Pizza is Corner Pizza in Eldred.

Highly recommend staying at this adorable cabin! I stayed for 3 nights during the summer and Loretta was very responsive with any questions I had. The location is perfect for tubing on the Delaware River at Skinners Falls only 20 minutes away.

Loretta's cabin in the woods is rustic, cozy and comfortable. We went up for a quiet, relaxing Thanksgiving and Loretta's place delivered. The pellet stove was so easy to operate and a highlight of our stay. Sitting by the warm fire in a beautiful, serene setting while listening to Loretta's records (Billie Holiday, Simon & Garfunkel, etc.) was just what the doctor ordered. Loretta was incredibly responsive. We exchanged email/phone numbers and she called and emailed in advance of our visit and responded quickly when we had a question. Check-in and check-out was very easy. I highly recommend Loretta's place if you're looking for a quiet, cozy retreat.
