Discover your perfect getaway at the charming WoodFisher cottage to create unforgettable vacations! This charming clean cottage is only footsteps away from the Chautauqua lake and your private dock. It is comfortable for 4 -6 guests and pets or as a Home-Office.
Enjoy a variety of activities such as fishing, swimming, biking, kayaking, floating, and boating right from the cottage. You can also picnic and gather around a fire pit in the spacious yard. For pet owners, rest assured that pets have plenty of room to roam. A dog walking area is conveniently close by.
Walk to nearby restaurants, enjoy putt-putt golf, visit the village park, or treat yourself to Barney’s ice cream parlor.
Explore local gems, like Big Inlet Brewery with live music, the National Comedy Center, CHQ Institution, local food manufacturers, wineries, antique shops and more.
Escape to a destination where you can unwind in style and create cherished family memories.
Parking
There are up to 3 parking spaces for you, 1 is on the left of the driveway of 136A WLake Rd. Please see the detailed information in the Welcome Guide.
Your trailer can be stored for free at the harbor where you can also launch your boat. However, the trailer must always be attached to a car. You can park your trailer at Chautauqua Marina for $10 per night. Please let Lou know that you are staying at Jim Kelleher’s cottage.
Bicycles can be locked at the sign pole or in the backyard (bring your own lock)
The access to the yard and shared dock is via the wooden stairway.
Boats up to 25ft can be tied at our dock.
You can have great motorcycle or bike rides from the cottage in the summer to explore the area, and in the Winter you can snowmobile right from the cottage to the trails and have fun.

Kitchen - Well equipped for 6 guests and offers drip coffee maker, french press, sugar, olive Oil, vinegar, easonings, ice cubes and filtered water, dish soap, hand soap, drying towels, paper towels, garbage bags, outdoor tableware, pots and pans, baking ware, blender, toaster, microwave.
Laundry - Washing detergent is supplied

Your trailer can be parked for free at the residential boat launch if attached to your car.
Chautauqua Marina offers trailer spaces for $10 if you let them know that you are staying at Jim Kelleher's cottage.
Cancellations 7-13 will be charged with 50% of the rental fee and 1-6 days before arrival will be charged 100% of the rental fee.
Pets preferably stay in their crate.
Smoking is allowed outside (with correct disposal) only.
About the Owner
About Jim and Ulrike Kelleher
Jim has been living in the Buffalo area nearly all his lifetime. Now we do live in Hamburg. As a world-traveller we always love to come back to enjoy our four seasons. As everybody else - we like to spent quality time after hard working days and weekends. Our passions are woodworking, cooking, sewing, being creative in many ways and enjoying our beautiful nature.

Why Jim and Ulrike Kelleher chose Mayville:
As a child and teenager, Jim spent many vacations with his family on this lake. They were fishing and swimming and he always dreamt to have his own cottage on this beautiful lake. Ulrike dreamt of a cottage to host and cook for her guests,sew, paint and write books. This dream has become a reality. With this property, we found the perfect location for our family to live in for generations to come. The perfect stay in summer and winter. A place to fish, enjoy sunrises and sundowns as well as culture and hosting friends from around the globe.
What makes this Cottage unique:
My wife and I searched the net for a weekend house. When we saw the breathtaking view from the balcony and the opportunity that is given with our own dock it took only days to make the buying decision. The views are amazing at any daytime and out of the large windows. Relaxing times with a BBQ or at the fire pit are as easy as enjoying time on the lake itself. The proximity to harbor, restaurants and to many attractions is just awesome, cause we like to walk or bicycle.

Perfect
We loved this clean cottage with its fantastic lake view. It has comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and a homey feel. The owners are so kind and friendly and provided hospitable touches that made us feel welcome. The cottage is close to
Restaurants, goofy golf and the main attractions in the area. We were really happy with it.

GREAT GET-A-WAY TO CHAUTAUQUA!
One of our favorite places to stay while fishing on the lake. Jim and Ulrike are the best hosts. Spacious rooms, clean and fresh. The view of the lake is amazing. Highly recommend and we will be back.

The view is lovely and the location is convenient. The house was clean and kitchen had basic cookware.
I would suggest bringing your own sheets and towels as those provided were too thin and dingy. Also if over 6 ft tall take note that the ceilings are rather low in the bathroom and door-frames. So you may find it challenging to maneuver those areas.

EXCELLENT CABIN!
Thank you for a wonderful couple of days at your lovely cabin! The place was so very fresh and clean. We appreciated that you provided the linens and towels. Kitchen very clean and all in working order. The view from the front window was amazing! Everything you could possible want/need in a lakeside cabin. Having the boat dock was perfect for our fishing boat. We will be sure to come back again. Spacious rooms and simple furnishing, just what we like. Definitely returning
My Wi-Fi I couldn't have enjoyed the property more. The proximity to Lake, the beautiful sunsets and sunrises all breathtaking. Jimand Ulrike were fabulous hosts. We were Fortunate enough to meet them during our stay. What a pleasure we can't wait to return. Only thing that could have been better was my luck at fishing:)

The VIew!!!!
Beautiful view of the lake! Great little lake cottage, good location across the street from mini golf, ice cream and candy shoppe. We had fun fishing on the dock. We had a wonderful stay and the house was very clean. The owners were helpful attentive.

Perfect lake house retreat
This house was exactly what we were looking for. The location is great, being across the street from Putt-Putt golf and next to the marina. We brought our boat and found the dock to work well to tie off to as well as sit at the end and watch boats go by. The house was very cute and well stocked with everything we needed from dishes and cooking supplies to towels and toilet paper. We did not use the air conditioner because there were so many windows and the lake breeze was wonderful. The furniture and beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The table and grill in the yard were used for many meals and the fire pit was a great place to make s’mores and listen to the concerts happening at the amphitheater down the street. The view from the living room is spectacular. We loved our stay and look forward to returning next summer!
