Description
Enjoy our private Peace of the Lake! We love to share our newly renovated 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home perfectly suited for a restful lakeside retreat overlooking Canandaigua Lake. Walk to the lake and enjoy lake sunsets from the patio and deck! Near hiking, restaurants, Wegmans, CMAC performing arts center, wineries/breweries and all the Finger Lakes has to offer.
Walk right down the hill to our private lake access for sunning and swimming off the dock. (only available to residents of our small association). Close to public beach and marina too.
Double decks to watch sunsets and eat/drink al fresco ; game room with foosball, games, puzzles and large TV; laundry room. Brand new infrared 2-person sauna on premises -- a great way to relax! Second TV and living area upstairs in the dining room/kitchen.
Fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, cookware, espresso maker, blender, mixer, and pantry staples (spices, oils, etc.). Gas grill, 2 bikes with helmets, beach chairs and towels provided.
All you need for a great get-away in any season with family or friends. Truly a chance to enjoy our little "Peace of the lake!".

Policies
Beach towels are provided for the Sauna and Lake use. Please don't use bath towels for that purpose. Outdoor non-breakable dinner and drinkware is also provided for use on the deck. Use Sauna at your own risk. Rules for Sauna use are also provided in the rental agreement.
• 50% of rental fee to secure the reservation.
• Security Deposit $400.00.
• Housekeeping fee $170.00. This is to prepare the house for next renter; linens and towels are provided; no daily housekeeping service.
• Note: payments can be made in the form of cash, check or Venmo.
CANCELLATIONS made 30 days prior to your arrival date incur a cancellation fee of $50. Cancellations made 14-29 days before your arrival date forfeit the 50% deposit. If a reservation is canceled less than 14 days before your scheduled arrival, you are responsible for the entire rental rate. Cancellations must be received in writing.
About the Owner
Peace of the Lake is our own lakeside retreat, and we are happy to share this with others who feel the stress melt away when they are within sight of a beautiful body of water! Rich and Laurie have lived in the area for almost 35 years, raised our kids here, and love sharing what the Finger Lakes offers to our guests! What a wonderful mini-vacation. Well thought out and well stocked kitchen. Convenient second floor deck with beautiful lake views and spectacular sunsets. Many nearby hiking trails and comfy beds at the end of the day…perfect.

The kids loved the foosball table and my husband and I enjoyed the sauna. Everything was very clean and organized. Laurie and her husband were very accommodating and willing to help meet all of our needs. We would recommend this place to our friends and family!

We had an amazing getaway weekend at this beautiful property on the lake. The house was so spacious and nice and our entire party felt so welcomed by the lovely welcome package left by the owners. The home is beautifully seated on the hill with an amazing view of the lake and beautiful sunset views. Lake access was convenient and a really fun way to spend several afternoons. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning here next year.

Beautiful House
We spent a week at the Peace Of Lake in June 2022. This house was perfect for our family. We have three kids under 7 and they had plenty of room to play inside and outside. The hosts are super nice and accommodating. Laurie even tried to baby proof the house for us. We enjoyed our stay there. We especially loved watching the sunrise and sunset from the deck. We love to cook and with little kids it was more convenient to make our own meals. The kitchen had everything we needed including a good collection of spices. We also loved that we had water access. We spent most afternoons by the water. We would love to be back some time in future.

Great spot for family fun!
Peace of the Lake offers plenty of space for extended family to gather for meals, games, and R&R. Just a few miles south of Canandaigua and a short walk to the lake, there is plenty to do. We especially enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets from the dock and expansive porch. Hosts are super responsive and the home is tastefully decorated but not too fussy. A great spot for family fun on the lake!

Family Friendly
We gathered 3 families together for a reunion and had plenty of bedroom, kitchen and gathering space. The deck and porch areas have a beautiful view and we loved eating meals out there. It was a beautiful gathering place for us! The walk down and across the street to the lake was do-able (but you should know for those with limited mobility that it is a steep gravel driveway and you cannot park at the lakefront).
