We had an amazing and peaceful weekend getaway! We didn't leave the property the entire time. We sat by the water and just relaxed, and enjoyed the ample living room seating at night to relax and hang out. The only thing I would recommend is bringing any oils, spaces, pots, knives, or baking sheets you may need!

The location and size of the home were perfect for our family. It was quiet and a great place to getaway right on the lake. One's ability to access the lake is fully dependent on the water conditions. The house is also only an hour from Niagra Falls, Buffalo and Rochester which can afford you some great day trips if you wish to take them. The only downside to the house is that the house was extremely buggy at times, particularly at night, and I would recommend for the owner to replace the windows and screen doors so that the bug situation is more easily controlled. I would also recommend for the owner to acquire new couches as the current couches are not particularly inviting. There is no A/C in the house so when hot and humid it can get a little uncomfortable but plenty of fans are left to cool the house down. Overall, great location to getaway but some minor improvements could make this a top notch cottage to rent.

My husband myself and my 3 children stayed here for 4 nights. We absolutely loved it. Very spacious and private. The biggest downfall of the house is that you can’t get into the water safely. I have 3 small children that wanted to swim and couldn’t we even tried fishing and couldn’t do that. The house was clean and had everything that we needed. We would for sure come back for a relaxing trip in the cute cottage.

We had a nice stay and enjoyed relaxing with the view. We visited Spring Lake winery which was lovely.. The house was fine and relatively clean, although lots of bugs and dirt when we opened the windows (which is a must in July) since no AC. The kitchen was adequately stocked, but the items seem some what random, so if you need something you should bring it. We were really hoping to swim/kayak from the house, but most of the days the water was too rough to safely get in from the rocks. We drove 30 minutes to Hamlin State Park to get in the water. It was the closest lake access. All in all, a fine covid vacation, but few reviews mention that water access is not certain.

The property was perfect for a quiet getaway as a couple. The house was clean, the kitchen was STOCKED with all cooking/eating utensils you’d need. The views were breathtaking and water was great. We did swim in the water, I’d recommend bringing water shoes since there’s just rocks. We brought our kayaks and it was perfect! The house had WiFi and tv which was nice for movies at night. There was no A/C but the house was well equipped with fans. It’s nothing fancy, but an amazing getaway if you’d like to go somewhere peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Definitely would love to come back.

The cottage was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. The fire pit was stocked with wood and the outdoor seating was nice. The view of the sunrise and sunset were beautiful.
We called the owner at 1:15 the day that we were due to check in. We had not received communication about the check in process and wanted to get it while we were in an area with Wifi. The call was answered by the owner who said " I am working on a photo shoot I will call you back." She didn't even listen to We received a call back after 3pm with the information.
The cottage was not very clean when we arrived. It was evident that the sheets had not been cleaned. There was grit and hair in them. The bathroom and floors were also unclean. The refrigerator was emptied but a box of baking soda was spilled onto the door shelf. It was clear that it had been there a while. We also found a plate of food by the fire pit with sausage and rice on it.
Needless to say we were quite disappointed for the rate that was charged, compared to the other properties in the area, I expected the cottage to be clean. Also there is no Wifi in the cottage.

I stayed here as a group of 7 adults and we had a great time. The property is beautiful and the cottage is cute with a well equipped kitchen. We had to buy a toaster because the one there was broken, and the pull out couch is super uncomfortable (old and springy). No AC but with the windows open and fans on, bearable. Got really hot and humid inside on our last day. Gorgeous sunsets every night with a huge lawn to play games. Overall a super vacation!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hamptons North. When we arrived everything was clean and orderly. The views in the evening was gorgeous, the kids loved doing s'mores the last night and cooling off in Lake Ontario. We hated to leave we will definitely be coming back.

The cottage is beautiful, updated, and clean inside. The property owners provide a lot in the way of fresh towels, soap, napkins, shampoo, trash bags, tinfoil, and other kitchen supplies. There is a downed tree in the backyard but it doesn't obstruct the view. The beach has also experienced some erosion. However the water is still accessible. There are two little swings and a see-saw. Our two year old loved that. With a little outdoor clean up, I would have given this property 5 stars.
