The 2 acres of property is close to hiking and restaurants and less than 2 hours from NYC. An indoor wood-burning fireplace, hot tub, large porch, BBQ, and outdoor fire pit are just some of the amenities that await you.
The best hiking and biking in Hudson Valley, Minnewaska, Mohonk, The Gunks, and Rail Trail Kerhonkson are minutes away. Kin House is the perfect peaceful home base from which to easily visit the best Hudson Valley towns - New Paltz, Stone Ridge, Saugerties, Kingston, and Woodstock.
Kin House sits in the middle of a dead-end - you'll enjoy peace and privacy, with limited cars passing by.
Want to cook at home? We provide all the basics (oil, salt & pepper, etc) and cooking tools (great knives, pots, and pans) you might need. Plus there are tons of local markets with fresh, local, and organic produce, meat, and dairy products.
Love a hot tub? Our outdoor hot tub fits 6 people and even has built-in cup holders. It's conveniently located steps from the back porch. Into fitness? We have a ~200 sq ft gym room complete with gym flooring, yoga and workout mats, free weights from 3-30 lbs, and more.
Gone green? We have a NEMA 1450 electric vehicle charger, a super-fast EV charger serving up 35 miles an hour, and have made other thoughtful choices to make a stainable rental.
Have kids? We have games and fun activities (and adults!). Kin House is the perfect family retreat.
Looking for a work-cation? Our house has desks in 3 of the bedrooms plus a dedicated "zoom room" and fast wifi. Send emails from the porch while you BBQ lunch or take conference calls from the balcony while you drink your morning coffee.
Worried you'll forget things? Stewart’s (5 mins) and a Wal-Mart Super Center (10 mins) are open daily 6am-11pm. Enjoy being surrounded by nature, along with anything you need just a short distance away.
Going skiing? Kin House is near Holiday Mountain (~30 mins) and Hunter Mountain (~50) - the perfect post-ski day retreat for groups.

-No extra guests without booking them through Airbnb / No last-minute guests (no more than 8 guests allowed in the house at any time)
-Use of the hot tub is at your own risk
-Use of the exercise equipment is at your own risk
-Use of any other amenity we provide is at your own risk
For Pets:
- We provide: a crate, 3 ceramic bowls, a couch cover for each couch, and pet specific towels, and a fence for the deck
Pet Rules:
- We allow up to 4 pets - if more than 2, an additional fee of $25 per night per pet will be requested after booking and must be paid in advance
- Pets must be under 100 lbs
- Must provide proof of recent flea / tick treatment before the stay
- Shots/vaccines must be up to date
- Must bring pet beds - pets aren't allowed on any furniture - with the exception of the 2 couches that have the pet covers on them that we provide
- Pets cannot sleep in the beds
- Dog waste must be picked up from the yard, please bring your own bags
- If the dog is being left alone in the house they need to be left in a crate, if you don’t have or want to bring, we do provide a large one
- When outside, dog must be kept on leash. Our area has hawks, and other wild animals, so please be aware of your surroundings and exercise caution.
If you're bringing cats, please let us know so we can leave out cat specific supplies. We are cat people.

Great host!
First of all,Emily is a great host! The location is lovely and quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub,fire pit and balcony since the weather was beautiful. The house is spacious and really nice. We will be back again!

Clean, spacious, and perfect
Kin house was perfect! House was clean and spacious. The location was right near all our favorite hikes as well as near the local brewery and cidery. We enjoyed the hot tub and both fire places (indoor and outside) The host Emily was a great communicator and if we had questions she answered them right away. We can't wait to come back here with friends!!

Wonderful place. I highly recommend
An amazing weekend getaway for anyone tired of the hustle and bustle of NYC! The entire house was extremely clean, the wifi was fast, the beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen, living rooms, etc. were well-equipped for a wonderful few days. The cherry on top was the hot tub—what a great way to spend a chilly night! I look forward to coming back and would recommend anyone to book this wonderful place. Don Juan Babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

5 Stars across the board, highly recommend!
This house is 5 stars across the board - great location, hottub close to the house (important in cold weather!!!), great bedrooms/sleeping arrangements, and not 1 but 2(!) places to hang out and play music/games/etc. It was the perfect house for our weekend getaway and would highly recommend it. The welcome gifts of s’mores and film/loaner instax camera were also a really nice touch!

Stunning house, great home!
Kin house is the perfect venue for a sweet escape. The house is even more stunning in person. Emily created the perfect house manual that answers literally any question you may have.
We went for two nights and had the chance to visit Rough Cut brewing-- 10/10 recommend. We spent most of the time at the house cooking, soaking in the hot tub and playing some of the fun games Emily provided!
Overall-- would definitely stay again! thank you Emily and Kin house team

Place was amazing, perfect for getaways for friends or family. We had lots of fun enjoying the snow tubes provided and the hot tub. The beds were super comfortable and everything that was needed was basically provided. Definitely would recommend.

Everything was perfect!
Everything about this place was perfect! Emily was a fanatic host and communicated perfectly. The place is super beautiful and cozy. Definitely loved the hot tub under the stars. The area is solid with lots of options depending on how far you're willing to drive. We would absolutely come back here!
