About Christina Morse
We enjoyed living year round on the lake in this home from 1996 to 2009. It was absolutely wonderful. We have been blessed to now use our large home as a rental for others to create vacation memories. We are local people and are devoted to assure reserved renters have their summer vacation as planned for the summer or off-season. We are lifelong residence of Central New York State and find Cayuga one of the best lakes in the area.
Christina Morse purchased this House in 1994
Why Christina Morse chose Aurora
This property was built in 1995 with a large addition in 2002. It is spacious and has many special features created for family comfort, Central heating and air conditioning, 2-four season sun rooms, allergy filter on central air calculator. Private road and country setting, a place to enjoy the lake, peaceful, and quiet.
What makes this House unique
The views and sunsets are amazing. The water foul are wonderful to watch. The eagles are nesting and fish along the lake. The private road creates a great place to walk, run, bicycle, cross country ski. The ramp allows for ease in putting in kayaks, paddle boats, row boat, and small water craft (sunfish sailboats, canoes).

Although our party did not stay at this property I have to tell you all that the owner Christina is wonderful. There was some confusion in the rental but Christina was nothing but helpful. I would recommend renting from her to others for sure.

Enjoyed our stay, some of the online pictures were misleading of how the house really looked. Enough room to accommodate all 10 guests. Enjoyed the gifts from the owner.

This home is the perfect way to enjoy Cayuga Lake. Everything you need is on hand in this comfortable house on the water. While it's true that the last leg our journey to the property is 10 miles an hour, it added to the charm and forced us to take the slow road while savoring the beauty of the lake.
The home is spacious, full of light and offers sweeping views of the water day and night. We had no issues with the water inside the home, in fact the double shower head was something people looking forward to when getting ready.
While there, our party enjoyed the local wineries, a trip to Makenzie Childs, hiking, a night around the fire, making dinner together in the well appointed kitchen, gazing at the lake and taking in the magnificent views of Cayuga Lake day and night.
Communication with the owner was great. We really enjoyed our stay.

The property is exactly as shown in the pictures. The lakeview from your rooms is phenomenal. All of the linen provided was clean and beds were very comfortable. Christina was good with directions and communicated well throughout my interaction with her.
For a group that may need the 5th room, it is sort of a detached room whose entrance is at the north side of the home to the right of the garage. The keys to this will be on the table in the living room of the house. This is just a note for those groups that check-in late at night. Finding that room may be a task in that darkness.
Also, please check with Christina if the water in the storage tanks is filtered. Since it's lake water, it contains minerals. We were probably unlucky that the filtration team wasn't able to do it for us before the trip. The strong presence of iron in the water out of taps and the shower may cause discomfort. The wifi isn't great, but it's the best excuse to keep away from phones and enjoy what you're there for.
Apart from the water warning I've mentioned above, you will not have any other reason to think twice about. Take this if you're a big group. If I'm at Finger lakes, I know what roof I wanna be under.

Very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful sunsets. Wonderful to be right on the water for kayaking and paddle boarding. Loved the master bedroom with sunroom! Soothing to listen to the water. Thanks for a relaxing week.

Once again, actually for the third summer, we truly enjoyed our stay at your summer home. It worked very well for our family of 10 adults and 3 grandchildren. It was the best reunion ever!

Overall we had a wonderful week. Unfortunately, there were a few areas we weren't happy with regarding the property. We all felt it could have been cleaner; showers, crumbs in drawers, some very old and torn sheets. Also, the air conditioning wasn't adequate for the home, the living area and kitchen became very hot every afternoon and we had to close all the blinds and drapes, preventing us from enjoying the amazing views of the lake. Also, the one on-line photo led us to believe there was an area of sandy shoreline when in reality it was rocky and very steep. The kids had fun jumping off the dock, but had to swim 30-40 feet back to the shore and climb up the short but steep hill and run back 40-50 feet to the end of the dock. A ladder at the end of the dock would have made this activity so much more fun, especially since the kiddos were only 1, 2 and 5 years old. The outside of the property could have been better maintained and the kitchen and bathroom floor tiles were quite old and very chipped. We had a very good time but expected a much nicer property for the money.
