Description

Available Spring, Summer & Fall, Red Creek Cottage sits at the base of a heavily-wooded hill just 50 feet from the lake's edge. With 210 feet of unobstructed lake views in front of you, the picturesque Red Creek to your left & a natural shale beach to your right, you will find true relaxation at our secluded three-bedroom cottage with full unobstructed view of the lake from the living room, kitchen & dining area.

Parking is available on the side yard. Quiet and private on a heavily wooded lot, this lake house with a boathouse is a classic three-bedroom cottage level with the shore of Seneca Lake, set back less than 50 feet from the shore.

The cottage offers a full unobstructed view of the lake from the living room, kitchen and dining area. This lake house has a natural shale beach, a large parking area, both shallow and deep water for swimming, and a break wall. With the lake in front, the woods behind the cottage and the stream that extends back 300 feet along a gully, you will enjoy the peace and quiet and the feeling of being surrounded by nature. Facing east, the front yard stays sunny through the late afternoon, but you can also sit in the shade of our many mature trees (a large willow, maples, firs, birches, a red bud and others). From noon onward the cottage is cooled by the shade of the woods and cliffs, and all-day by the steady breeze off the lake.

•Bed linens, blankets, towels, washcloths, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, napkins, sponges, kitchen towels, dishwashing liquid are provided.

•The cottage has one bathroom downstairs with a shower.

•WiFi, recreational equipment

•A large picnic table seating 8, a patio dining table and chairs seating 6 with umbrella, and several lounge chairs

•Gas barbeque grill with fuel, and grill for cooking over the fire circle

•Two kayaks and two canoes with life preservers in all sizes

•We request that guests separate recyclables (paper, cans, and bottles). The trash and recycling will be removed after you leave.

Unfortunately the cottage is not accessible for people in wheelchairs, or for people with limited mobility. There is a bridge to negotiate over the creek as well as stairs leading to the front door.

The cleaning crew will use it quite a lot after you leave, so we don't want to overload the system. The dryer can be used any time. The cottage has a bedroom downstairs with a king-sized bed and two bedrooms upstairs. The front upstairs bedroom has a king bed and a twin bed. The back bedroom upstairs has three twin beds. A pack-n-play is available for young children.

Policies

Check in: 16:00, Check out: 10:00

Size of Your Group: Because of the limitations of the septic system, the size of the living room and kitchen, and out of consideration for the neighbors, we limit the number of overnight guests to 8.

Age: You must be 25 years of age or older to sign the rental agreement.

Smoking: No smoking is allowed either inside the cottage or within 20 feet of the cottage.

Pets: Pets are not allowed because of allergies.

Quiet Hours: We ask that for the sake of the neighbors that you please observe quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. The neighbors are not that close, compared to some cottages, but we'd like to continue the informal tradition along our stretch of the lake of respecting each other's need for quiet.
