Quiet Lakeside Cottage

Summary

Quiet Lakeside Cottage on Keuka Lake

Description

Natural wood cathedral living room, dining room and kitchen lakefront cottage rental.

This gorgeous, tranquil spot on Keuka is truly a little slice of heaven. The days are beautiful and full of adventure for kids of all ages. Whether it's swimming, boating, hiking up the creek next to the cottages, or getting a bocce game going in the yard, there is something for everyone. The nights at Keuka are dark and quiet (except for the sound of crickets). If you're a city-dweller, you'll be delighted by how many stars you can see. The Big Dipper is easily visible from the dock!

When you need a bit of civilization, you can grab a bite at The Switzerland Inn (aka "The Switz") or another lakeside spot. A short drive in one direction takes you to the sweet old town of Penn Yan, or go the other way and explore the shops of Hammondsport, voted "Coolest Small Town in America" in 2013. Tour the wineries, get lunch at Bully Hill (with a great view of the lake), or visit the Windmill craft market on a Saturday and buy handcrafted Menonite goods. There is no shortage of festivals, museums, and attractions if you crave outings in the area, or you can just sit peacefully by the water and watch the baby ducks swim by.
