Drive or take the train to Patchogue for the Davis Park Ferry; leave your car and wi-fi and shoes behind on the mainland for this beautiful two story A-frame right on the boundary of the Fire Island National Seashore. The private back deck overlooks expansive dunes, wild cherry and beach plum, pine, dune grass, and wild deer, with ocean and bay views. The front deck faces the small summer houses nestled between pines. A gas grill and deck furniture are yours for entertaining or simply relaxing.
Downstairs, you'll find the master bedroom with a king sized bed, wood floors and white wicker furniture, and its own bath. A sea blue room with twin beds, a sea gray room with a queen and toddler bed, and a brightly colored children's hideaway with two built in twin beds, share another bath. For those of you with small children, we have a portable crib and a 'high chair' seat which attaches to the bar. A large pantry contains the washer and dryer.
The dining area upstairs overlooks the National Park; the kitchen is complete with a microwave, and refrigerator with ice maker. Windows and sliding glass doors give a 360-degree view of sunrise and sunset, bay and ocean, and a spacious living area invites you to relax after a day at the beach.
You can walk to the beach in a handful of minutes, even with a toddler in tow. The bay is a short five minutes; in fifteen, you're at the National Seashore Headquarters with its programs for young and old alike, or at the Harbor store for that one ingredient you forgot. For the more adventurous, you're welcome to borrow our fishing equipment, try out the kayak, or dig for clams. Whether you're a family or a group of friends, you'll find this sweet space perfect to enjoy each other's company or just have some time to yourself.
