Welcome to our home in Seaview, Fire Island. Seaview is one of the most sought-after communities on the island. You can walk or bicycle to the beach, bay, or nearby communities with a variety of restaurants and shopping. Our home is on C Street, one block from the ferry terminal, and one and one half blocks from the ocean and bay.
Ocean Beach is just a five minute walk away. Why settle for less when you can enjoy this beautiful, clean, light and airy, fully renovated home to experience the unique pleasures of Fire Island? Our home exudes a peaceful, relaxing ambiance, decorated in soft blues and sand colors that conjure up the beauty of the beach. It is complemented by granite kitchen counters and sea glass tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms. The eye-popping glass fireplace in the living room will transport you to the beach as soon as you enter the front door.
FEATURES:
We had an HVAC system installed last year that provides central air conditioning and heat throughout our home, making your stay comfortable anytime you choose to stay between April and November! The home features vaulted ceilings in the living room/dining room and kitchen with ample recessed and under-cabinet lighting, as well as a kitchen skylight.
There is wood flooring throughout the house, natural maple cabinetry with a large pantry, granite countertops - including a large kitchen island with seating for 2, stainless steel appliances, two large flat-screen LCD HDTVs - one in the living area and one in the master bedroom, FIOS Fiber-Optic Cable Internet and Direct TV Satellite service, and overhead ceiling fans in every room, when you don’t want to use central air conditioning. In addition, there are plush mattresses, bed linens, and towels, and a kitchen fully equipped with dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies. The indoor laundry room, with a full size washer and dryer, is right off the kitchen. There is no need to step outside to do your laundry.
KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS:
Easy access to the kitchen can be had on either side of the fireplace in the living room/dining room area. Enhancing the openness of the high ceilings in the kitchen is a skylight that provides additional natural lighting. Behind the fireplace, a full granite covered island provides not only seating for two in the kitchen, but also a large space for food preparation or setting out wine and hors d’oeuvres! All appliances are high-end stainless steel units. The kitchen features a 23 c.f. side-by-side refrigerator, a new ultra-quiet dishwasher, a self-cleaning oven with a glass top electric range, and an overhead convection/microwave oven. There are two maple cabinet wall units that are 8 feet high, providing ample storage for food and household goods. There is an abundance of high-end pots, pans, dishes, glassware, and utensils. The kitchen also features a Keurig K-cup coffee machine, a Nespresso small capsule espresso maker and a full size Virtuoline coffee maker, Soda-Stream soda maker. toaster oven, Ninja food processor, and blender.
LIVING AND DINING AREA:
The living room/dining room provides ample seating and a place for relaxation and entertainment for all. There is a contemporary sectional sofa that seats 5 to 6. In addition, there is a 3-person bamboo sofa with a matching large easy chair all centered around a 42” LCD HDTV for your viewing pleasure. There is a stereo system with an Ipod dock, a DVD player, Internet access, and Direct TV satellite service. The living room/dining room area has a vaulted ceiling and three large picture windows, which afford great views from the living room and fill the area with an abundance of natural light. There are also multiple recessed lights and a large ceiling fan. The dining area has a solid maple gate-leg table that is kept folded to seat 4, but can be expanded with the use of a leaf to accommodate 10-12. The living room/dining room area also has a bamboo game table that seats 4. MASTER BEDROOM: The spacious master bedroom features a plush king-sized mattress on a Henredon natural oak platform bed. There is a 40” LCD HDTV with a DVD player and Direct TV satellite service in this room, as well as a clock radio with an Ipod dock. There is also a separate bathroom, a spacious walk-in closet, and sliding glass doors opening onto the rear deck. The master bath has a vanity with a Corian countertop and sink and a large walk-in glass-enclosed shower, tiled with sea glass accents and with a Kohler brushed nickel rain shower head. The furnishings include a large double dresser, wall mirror, and full-length door mirror. There is a quiet ceiling fan as well as an A/C window unit in this room.
THREE ADDITIONAL BEDROOMS: There are three additional spacious bedrooms that provide sleeping for 6 with plush mattresses and linens. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a tall maple dresser and an end table. The two remaining bedrooms have two twin beds in each room and a night stand between the beds. One of the bedrooms has extra long twin beds. The other has a relaxing contemporary easy chair. Each bedroom has solid maple dressers with wall mirrors, a large closet with a full-length mirror on the door, a ceiling fan and an A/C unit.
MAIN BATHROOM: The main bath features a porcelain tub and Kohler brushed nickel rain shower head, and sand-colored wall tiles accented with opalescent glass. The vanity has a Corian sink and countertop.
OUTDOOR DECK: There is a spacious outdoor shower and changing room on the rear deck. The deck has a striking contemporary teak and glass picnic table with seating for 6 with a 10’ market umbrella, an additional 10' umbrella on a wheeled base for extra shade on deck if wanted, 2 chaise lounges and 2 mesh chairs with matching tables, a separate picnic table for small children, and a Weber gas grill. There are four wooden wagons of various sizes and a beach cart to transport your belongings to and from the ferry and beach, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, and four bikes to enhance your enjoyment of all the natural wonders that Fire Island has to offer. There is also an open front porch, protected by an overhang, with two comfortable chairs and a table to enjoy your morning coffee, an afternoon drink, or to read the daily paper. There is an 8'x8' shed in the backyard used to store beach chairs, umbrellas, and extra wagons. We undertook a full renovation in 2008-2009 including the building of an addition with a master bedroom and bath and a laundry room inside the house. This house was in great shape-- my favorite rental of years in renting in Fire Island. The location-- only steps to the Seaview market-- was perfect. Steps to the ocean, close to the bay side where you can swim. A great house and location for little kids.

The house is great - clean, renovated, excellent location. We really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch, as well as the back deck. Steps from Seaview Market, between the beach and bay … we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more! Shana was extremely accommodating and communicative.

This house is conveniently located to everything in Seaview/Ocean beach. You would be few minutes walk away from ferries, shops, beach. House is very comfortable and well appointed. Kitchen is well stoked with all essential equipment. Hosts are super nice, accommodating and very easy to work with. I would definitely stay again.

Absolutely loved this house. Extremely clean and nicely updated. The deck is nice and roomy, with plenty of sunshine, but also has nice shade via umbrellas. Proximity to the ferry, Seaview supermarket and town is ideal.
House has everything you could need form great beach chairs and umbrellas to kids toys to use on the beach. Shana the owner was very responsive and offered a ton of information, they run a great house. We hope to be back!
