The house and the grounds were awesome. House was large and spacious. The grounds were private and nestled into a mountain and the adjacent woods which was awesome. Very quiet and peaceful with close proximity to the town of Woodstock. Great location for people who want to hike in the Woodstock/Catskills area.

Had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage. The property and home were better than the pictures. Heated floors were a plus. Loved that there was a hiking trail across the street as it made it super easy with our dogs. Just a few minutes from town, but with all the peace and tranquility needed right on the property.

My husband and I returned to the Woodstock area for a wonderful get away in December. The house was perfect for us, with the lovely fireplace, the yard for our border collie to wander around in, and its proximity to Woodstock and to both the Hudson Valley and the Catskills wilderness. The house was perfect for us, especially the spectacular kitchen, were we basically lived for much of our trip. The house is comfortable and cozy, and we would highly recommend it, especially for those traveling with pets.

What a wonderful spot! We absolutely loved our time at the Red Barn. It was exactly as described. BONUS: the heated floors are pretty awesome. :-) Super clean. Authentic. Homey. Comfortable beds. My friend and I returned to our home town to bring my father’s ashes home. We were welcomed with a few local treats and a note about my dad, a Woodstock character for many years. It was spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed an unseasonably warm evening outside in front of a fire, saw plenty of deer, and enjoyed peace in the woods. At the end of our long days, we were happy to zone out for a bit on the smart tv :) The art in the place was also really cool!

This house was perfect for our stay during the Woodstock Luthier’s Invitational Showcase. It was great to be just minutes away from the Bearsville Theater and also so close to town. It was nice to wake up to nature each morning. Thanks for a great stay!

Loved this house! Property and home were picturesque, perfect for a relaxing fall get away. We loved the huge kitchen surrounded by windows and the fireplace in the livingroom. Communication with the property manager was very easy, we will definitely look to book again.

My family of three (plus dachshund) enjoyed our stay at this beautiful artist’s home. The cabin is light and spacious in the living areas (kitchen, living room, porch), and cozy in the bedrooms. We really enjoyed reading the children’s books written/illustrated by the owner (we assume) and seeing the eclectic art throughout the house. The cabin feels completely private as the grounds are large, yet Woodstock, Rhinebeck and other town conveniences are all close by. It really is a delightful home. The property manager, Robyn, told us everything we needed to know; check in was easy; and we were greeted with a nice bag of coffee, delicious maple syrup and some very tasty pretzels. I really don’t want to be totally honest with how much we loved this home because I do want there to be some vacancies for us to return in the future! Our only complaint is that we were should have stayed longer! We were completely enchanted with the peace and comfort of this rustic and charming country cabin.
