The Whiteface Mountain Chalet was amazing! It is very conveniently located to Lake Placid, with a beautiful view of Whiteface. The house is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need for a great vacation. Todd is an excellent host-- very reachable with any questions and concerns. Definitely worth the trip!

What a great find this was! It was perfect for our getaway of 6. Everything was very well explained and laid out. We cooked rather than going out for dinner one night as the kitchen was so well equipped ~ almost better than my own! We've done many rentals and have to say, this was one of the most well organized. Would definitely recommend and we plan on returning again :)

Todd's place is in a great location to explore the Lake Placid area and other lakes.
By far the best fire pit I have ever seen. They do have some large logs to sit on and some adirondack style chairs as well. If your group is large you may want a few extra chairs.
The only grill available is park like style that use charcoal that you will need to bring. There are two side by side.
The bedrooms are all very good sizes and it's nice when in a group to have your own private space as well. The mattress was comfortable and the linen provided was good.
A few in our group enjoyed the hot tub, I do not think anyone used the dry sauna but it looked very nice.
Plenty of room for lawn games. Te yard space is big and the lot is pretty private.
The kitchen counter is large with plenty of stools around for enjoying meals. The kitchen has all the stuff you will need for cooking meals. You will need to bring all your own spices and such. (This is stated in the listing).
The lounging/living room area is sufficient but if your group is larger you will not all fit in the couch area to watch TV, some would need to be by the counters, which I think works great. We really did not watch much TV.
Communication with the host and caretaker was easy and quick. The place was clean and well taken care of. We had a great time here as a family visiting the area for a family wedding and I would definitely recommend.

Todd is an outstanding host. His communications were detailed and timely. He sent local references which really helped our group's experience. Kim offered prompt and quality maintenance (Thanks Kim!). The house itself is gorgeous and well located for the activities our group had in mind (hiking, campfire, group retreat, dog friendly, cooking). Make sure to read Todd's communications as he offers a lot of insightful and helpful details for your stay. Bring cash for the campfire wood.
