we had a great stay and Melissa was a great host. extremely clean and well organized property. plenty of space for our family of 6 with a toddler. comfortable layout and amenities made it feel like home. the pictures are accurate.
convenient location between lake george and bolton landing with tons to do in each town. quick ride to marinas, restaurants & attractions.
bonus points for the excellent private hiking trail behind the house. interesting terrain, well maintained & beautiful views of the lake. recommend hiking it 100%.
would love to stay with Melissa again and will recommend to others.

We enjoyed our stay at Melissa's property. It is lovely place, in the middle of wooded land. The owner, Melissa, is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

Melissa's Woodland House at Lake George was the absolute perfect place for our family trip. The house is nestled in the woods and the interior is all knotty pine, very clean, and well stocked.
My favorite part was the very large dining table. We were a family of 8 and really enjoyed our morning's with coffee and conversation every morning. We shared some great memories around that table. We were there to spread ashes for a loved one who passed and to visit mom who lives in Glens Falls. Melissa was a joy to work with and she was very compassionate when I told her why we were visiting. Saranac Lake and Glens Falls is where half of our party grew up. Melissa also greeted us at arrival and checked periodically by text throughout our visit.
Some other awesome features were 3 of the bedrooms had private baths with a 4th to be shared on the main floor. We loved the screened porch, but it was a chilly week in April for the Adirondacks, but at least one ping pong game was still managed:) We wish it were warmer so we could of put the brand new grill and fire pit to use... too much leftover snow.
I could literally write a book to recommend this place! My partner and I use Home away frequently and will say Melissa's is on the top of our list and if she will have us, we hope to visit again. The pictures don t relay how large this house is. Book Woodland House... you won't regret it!
I almost forgot to mention how much our three "fur cousins" enjoyed the stay!

My family and I stayed at Woodland House for New Years. Melissa was an amazing host, every detail taken care of. The house was exceptionally clean...I think it's the cleanest vacation home we've ever stayed in! She took the time to care for every detail, right down to leaving dog bones and beds for my dogs! We had such an amazing time, and thoroughly enjoyed the path through the woods with spectacular views. We will definitely be back!! It is obvious that this home is well taken care of and well loved by Melissa and we are so happy to have discovered it!
