Michele's place in the Adirondacks was incredible! My boyfriend and I were looking for a quiet, somewhat secluded place to vacation with our dog and we were not let down at all. Although there are houses nearby, we were gifted with the solitude of the mountains.
The house itself is nice and spacious. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything you could need to cook meals at the house. She even includes a dozen fresh eggs from a local farm, which is a very nice touch!
We loved the cozy living room area and it was a perfect little spot to relax after hikes.
As for location, it's walking distance from a couple of trail heads. We particularly liked the trail to Murphy Lake ‐‐ what a beautiful place! We did other hikes around the area, which were anywhere from 20 minutes away to an hour. Not too bad when you're driving around in the mountains!
Overall, this was an amazing place to stay and highly recommended! Thanks again, Michele!

If you are looking for a total "off-the-grid" getaway with total serenity and pe...

If you are looking for a total "off-the-grid" getaway with total serenity and peace in an amazingly beautiful setting deep in the unspoiled Adirondack Forest Preserve... where the only people you'll see are maybe a hiker or two, or a homeowner outside their property on a walk up the road ... a road with almost ZERO traffic .... AND a log cabin home with all the comforts of home ... IHMO, you can't go wrong with this Adirondack Mountain Getaway cabin. An absolutely FABULOUS place, and even more fabulous forest setting, with a very large yard ringed with hardwoods and pines ... and whitetail deer visitors every day ... Front & backyard decks, + screened in covered front porch area give you multiple venues from which to take in all of natures beauty. If you enjoy walking or hiking, both are within half a mile of the cabin, a few ~8-10 mile RT hikes. Other mountain trails/trailheads are within 10-30 minute drive, although I didn't do any of those. Kayaking within 30 minutes w/3 rental outfits. Small local restaurant at bottom of the road on Rt 30, Adirondack Museum an hour drive north, and other small towns with 10-25 minutes for needed supplies, local farmers markets, etc. An absolutely idyllic location, and a very responsive and great host in Michelle, who went out of her way to reply to all my emails prior to booking to ensure all my questions were answered clearly & completely. (Oh, if you're concerned w/internet connectivity, I had no issues at all. If weather makes getting outside a "no-go", plenty of movie choices w/Netflix, Amazon Prime & Roku hookups., & a massive CD music collection.

A completely relaxing experience I will be sure to return to. Just you surrounded by Momma Nature. FABULOUS & HIGHLY recommended!

This place had everything that we needed and more. The kitchen is truly fully appointed with all the cookware and dishes that could be needed. The home is clean, tidy, and very homey feeling. There is a wonderful screened porch to relax on. Watch out for deer and turkeys wandering by on the road in. Very comfortable place to stay in July! Michele was very responsive to any questions and provided great directions and suggestions for our trip.

Michele's house is just perfect. Even better that what might look like in the pictures. Spacious, very clean, comfty, and the garden is beautiful as well. Michele was always easy to reach and happy to help to make our stay perfect. Totally recomended!
