Rick opened Maple Bay Get-a-Way in 1984 to offer guests the finest in private home accommodations right in the heart of the Chautauqua-Allegheny Region.
Imagine walking out your back door and finding yourself just steps away from the shore of Lake Chautauqua. Sit back on the deck or under the covered porch to enjoy the view. If the weather is a little cool, there is a sunroom to relax in. Or sit by a roaring fire in the backyard by the lake.
There is a boat dock for your use in case you bring or rent a boat while you are there. Maple Bay Get-a-Way also has games and activites for all ages. We have basketball, corn hole, ping pong, darts and wall hooky! The three bedroom home is completely furnished with all of the amenities you would expect in a luxury vacation home.
The two upper bedrooms have huge, panoramic windows offering a spectacular view of the sunrise! Each of the bedrooms has a flat-panel TV and the living room has a 42" flat- panel HDTV with cable and Blu-Ray player. Free WiFi is also available The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, disposal and dishwasher to make meal preparation a breeze.
For outdoor cookouts, a propane grill is also provided. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer and a two car attached garage. Two full baths will ease congestion in the mornings! Once you visit Maple Bay Get-a-Way, you are sure to come back summer after summer!
Maple Bay Get-a-Way is available for rental by the week during the peak summer (Sunday through Sunday). During the early and late season (May, early June, September and October) it is available for shorter stays with a two-night minimum.

Great Trip!
Came to the property for a long weekend fishing trip for Muskie. Didn’t catch any fish but the property was beautiful and ended up certainly being the highlight of the trip. Definitely saving this property for future adventures!

The location of the cottage was great!
We had concerns about the very steep stairs to the upper bedrooms. Feel the dock and refrigerator need work. We loved the location. Very little seaweed this year so we enjoyed fishing and Kayaking.

Susan, I am glad that you enjoyed your visit to Maple Bay Getaway! Regarding the stairs, there is unfortunately nothing that can be done to the design I have tried to figure out a way to modify them but nothing will work because of the available space. The 2nd floor was added to the house many years prior to me purchasing it. As far as the dock, I will have that checked right away. I don't want to jeopardize anyone's safety. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Can you contact me with details about your concerns regarding the refrigerator, please? I am not aware of any issues. Thank you for your feedback! Hidden gem with glorious views
Want to wake up to a pink sky that evolves into orange and red sunrise over the lake? The two upstairs bedrooms overlook the horizon with lake views. It's incredible. The cottage is better than pictured. The putdoor space is great and the bonfire pit was wonderful. The location is perfect to venture into Bemus Point or Chautauqua. Kitchen is well-stocked and there were plenty of fans in every room. Temperature was very comfortable. Had a wonderful week here and will return.

Maple Bay Get A Way
We all had a great time. The location was very nice. The weather was very rainy one evening but we were able to hang out under the covered porch and still view the lake.
