Part of me doesn't want to write a review out of selfish reasons... I don't want anyone to come between me and my all time favorite vacation home. That wouldn't be fair to the ones who opened their beautiful home to us though.
I needed peace and quiet. I got peace and quiet. The view is breath taking from the living room and the area is naturally peaceful and serene. The owners did a fantastic job of making it a place you'll want to come back to.
An hour away from Niagara Falls and Lake Ontario is literally 20 feet from the living room window. My fiance and I enjoyed going down the steps onto the large flat rocks on the water and playing rummy 500.
One of my favorite aspects was the outdoor fire pit area. There were tons of places to get wood around the area. I really can't say enough good things, because my vacation was literally perfect. Its more than I could have asked for or expected. Lastly, the owners were very nice to me, which counts for a lot. The first night I was there I had two questions at two different points in the evening and they were answered almost immediately. I was truly fortunate to stay here and 100% plan on going back. So... Please don't go when I'm going.lol

We only borrowed their cottage for a long weekend but it was a wonderful place to stay. We were welcomed by a personal note from one of the owners and a "coozie souvenir"... (great touch ) . We hope to use this great place again in the future. Very relaxing and enjoyable weekend... Alot of amenities provided. Thank you again !!

This was the second visit for my husband and I and we really enjoyed the stay. The weather was very warm - had nice breeze from the water most of the time. Very cozy cottage. Well equipped for meal preparation.

Grilled out and also cooked in, sharing food with family and friends. Children enjoyed the games provided and adults bundled up and sat on the deck. It was a delight to feel and observe the lake as it changed from flat to white caps and everything in between. We loved the welcome feel of the cottage and appreciate the efforts of the owners to make us feel at home.

Thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us. It was very clean and organized. Everything and more was at our disposal. Just the pure serenity of sitting on the back porch, having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, gazing out over Lake Ontario made our trip the best!!

I truly enjoyed my stay. I want to write this review to help others that are considering staying here. It a lovely quite place to stay. The owners have paint so you can paint a rock to leave in their rock garden and they provide spices and other things you may not think about buying or bringing with you. There are bugs outs, so if you are a person that doesn’t like bugs or other nature like things then you may want to either bring bug spray, citronella candles or hopefully have better luck somewhere else. There is a little boardwalk with steps that lead down to the water. If you are looking to fish here, this may not work. We could cast our rod but it didn’t go out far but we were fine with that. My one and only complaint is the wicker bed. It is nosy and uncomfortable. That is my opinion of the bed and someone else may love it. If you are looking for a quite relaxing place to stay this is the place. I hope I get a chance to come back.

This cottage was everything we could have hoped for. Lake Ontario provided us with a great backdrop for our morning coffee. Can imagine anything better. Our hosts gave us great communication and a great place to stay. We are planning to be a yearly renter.

We had another great stay at A-Z Lazy Lake House, I think that is the best cottage to rent on Lake Ontario. Tom and Deb are great, they supplied everything we needed for our stay. The cottage was very clean, neat and it has tons of supplies. We only needed our clothes and whatever food we wanted to eat. It is such a great location also, it is between Rochester and Niagara Falls, about 55 miles from Rochester, so it isn't too far to have friends and family down to visit. There are fruit farms and wineries close by so if you want to you can also go wine tasting or pick some fruit. We had such a great time sitting by the lake, drinking a glass of wine watching the sunset by the campfire. It was heavenly, we didn't want to leave. We can't wait to come back next year.

This is such a great cottage, we had a wonderful time, the cottage is very clean and neat and has everything needed for your stay, the only thing you need to bring is your own clothes and food. Deb and Tom are wonderful and make sure the cottage is fully stocked with any kind of supply you might need for your stay, there is water rafts and noodles, board games, lawn games, cards, cd's to listen to and even dvds to watch. I was even amazed that they had a supply of poop bags for our dogs. There is also wi-fi and cable if you don't want to get away from all the news. There is also brochures of attractions to see in the area. We didn't want to leave so we booked another long weekend in September and can't wait to get back there. Even our dogs did not want to leave. We are planning on trying to book for 2 weeks next year.

The cottage was clean, nicely furnished, and the hosts were great to work with. They were willing to work with our special requests. We wish we had had longer to stay.
