Private, secluded three bedroom home nestled within 35 wooded acres and sitting on the ridge of Chautauqua Creek Gorge. Conveniently located a short drive from many Chautauqua County recreational venues such as Lake Chauatuaqu and Lake Erie, Chautauqua Institute, Chautauqua Wine Trail, City of Jamestown but off the beaten path.
Great for family reunions, a fishing camp, wine tasting tours, nature retreats, snowmobiling, hiking or a nice relaxing vacation. The cabin vacation rental comfortably accommodates 8 adults but can sleep 15 with plenty of parking for recreational vehicles and space for outdoor camping as well. A large covered patio includes a natural gas grill and Hot tub.
Lake Chautauqua is a popular tourist destination but lake rentals are very crowded. The cabin is close enough to enjoy the lake but offers privacy and seclusion that cannot be found with a lakefront rental. Spring and Fall Steelhead trout runs and proximity to Lakes Erie and Chautauqua make the cabin a perfect location for fishing base camp.

Tom is a high school science teacher from Buffalo, NY. Tom and his wife have owned the Cabin at the Gorge since 2006. While professional commitments keep them busy during the week, Tom and Mei enjoy spending their free time at the cabin. Gardening and yard work take up much of their time but they always manage to relax and enjoy the natural setting of the area. Tom also enjoys fishing and usually includes an excursion to one of the lakes or streams nearby.
Cabin at the Gorge is a special place. We have been coming here for many years for a yoga retreat and are never disappointed. The quiet seclusion of the woods brings peace and harmony. The Gorge is a beautiful hike, with the trailhead just at the end of the drive. I highly recommend Cabin at the Gorge!

Eight friends enjoyed this peaceful secluded cabin/ home with everything you need but your food. We brought that and barbecued on the gas grill, enjoyed breakfast on the patio watching nature as a Bambi ran by. Hiked to the gorge then soaked in the hot tub. Wine tasting at Noble Winery minutes away with a fabulous view of the lake. Bandit series racing at Lake Erie was only 25 minutes away. My favorite was walking the sandy beach just out of Westfield maybe ten minutes from the cabin. Bonfire and marshmallows at night. The place has everything for a peaceful relaxing getaway but within easy distance of activity if you want. We've been here as a family iof three and a reunion of dozens and it never fails!! Always a wonderful time

The cabin exceeded expectations. Everything we needed for a wonderful visit was provided. Towels, sheets, blankets, full kitchen, beautiful deck facing woods, huge front covered porch (rain disnt bother us).
The master bedroom has a large Jacuzzi tub and you'll find the secret toilet hidden in a closet! TV's, music, DVD player all there to use. Comfortable living & dining rooms too!
Loved the view from the hot tub.
Can hardly wait to visit again.

We had a great trip to the cabin at the gorge in July. The home is not fancy but very spacious and accommodating for large groups looking to relax and have fun. We enjoyed the hot tub, deck and large yard. The hike down to the gorge is beautiful. It located within miles to several wineries as well! We plan to return!

Secluded enough for two and space enough for 15. This was my 4th year at the cabin. The only way I can get my husband to "CAMP" is at Cabin at the Gorge. What more do you need with the surroundings of nature. Relax after a bike ride or hiking the trail down to the gorge in the HOT TUB!!! . Plenty of space for young and old. What a gem.

Cabin at the Gorge has all the amenities of a hotel, without the interference of Hotel staff or other guests. Cabin at the Gorge has washer/dryer, hot tub, exceptional space for entertaining, grilling, and, if you wanted s'mores, a camp fire ring! But the added bonus is the Chautauqua Creek Gorge! Just a 10 minute walk from the cabin. We were pleased with our stay & would do it again!

We went as a group of 12 adults on a motorcycle trip to tour the region. The cabin was clean & roomy, The outside patio with Hot Tub & Grill was great for relaxing in the evening. The fire pit was the focal point for get togethers every night. The property was spectacular with hiking trails to the nearby gorge. Tom is a nice guy and a pleasure to deal with. Can't say enough good things about this vacation spot.
