Watch our video tour and picture yourself at the water's edge in a peaceful, private, beautifully scenic cove on pristine Trout Lake, one of the true gems of the Adirondack Region. Spanning 141 feet, the hand-laid stone and masonry waterfront and wooden decking offer spectacular views and a wonderful place for swimming, sunning, hot-tubbing, cooking out on a waterside fireplace/grill, or just plain relaxing in the shade of the beautiful pines. A runabout motorboat, 2 kayaks and a canoe are there for you to enjoy the crystal clear lake, lined with countless coves and freckled with islands. One-third of the lake is forever wild and features a 1,600 acre state park that is great for hiking and exploring. The lake is stocked annually with a variety of fish including rainbow and lake trout, large and small mouth bass. Perch and rock bass naturally abound so there is great fishing for the kids too. You are only an hour's drive from the high peaks region and 50 min. from some of the best white-water rafting in the US. Completely refurbished in '05, this traditional Adirondack log cabin has a cozy kitchen with all the amenities, a charming and bright great room with hand-hewn beams, a fieldstone fireplace, antique and leather mission furniture, oriental rugs, and a glassed and screened area for dining and games. With 4 knotty-pine bedrooms, it sleeps up to 10 in beds, with room for two more on a pull-out couch. The waterfront features a hand-laid stone and wooden deck with terraced steps right to the water level, a children's wading area, and a wood-fired, cedar hot tub (brand new in 2015), just a few feet from the water's edge. It is a peaceful and private setting nestled in a pristine cove on a truly beautiful lake. Come stay at Rustic Lodge. I fell in love with this house immediately when I saw the pictures. In fact, we took to calling it Becky's Dream house. It really was a dream. I brought my mom, grandma and friend Erika for a girls trip to the Adirondack region. We had a blast! The house was exactly as described and appeared in the photos. The house was clean and in perfect order. There was a binder in the house with a ton of notes, maps and other useful information about the surrounding area. You do have to bring your own sheets and towels, which I do not believe was mentioned on the listing. The hot tub is wonderful but it does need to be fired up and takes quite some time to heat. My friend Erika and I loved the experience of firing up the hot tub. We felt quite the sense of accomplishment when we finally got to sit in it. The hot tub was amazing! Mom and grandma loved sitting at the dining room table in the front room or on the dock looking at the fall colors and watching my friend and I kayak and get the fires going. We cooked hot dogs and marshmallows on the fire, kayaked around the small islands, shared stories while taking in the fall colors on the deck. It was a lovely, memorable time. We will never forget our wonderful time here. It was more than just a house, it was an experience. We would recommend this place to anyone! We hope we get to come back some day!
p.s. I also want to mention one other thing, the little store that is close (by 4 miles) to the house that is mentioned in the listing was great! They had excellent sandwiches, salads and snacks. The salads and sandwiches they had were delicious! The people were super friendly also. Great little place for stopping and picking up some basic supplies.

PLENTY TO DO, BEST FAMILY VACATION TO DATE

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage, with its incredible dockside, lovely interior with craftsman furniture, beautiful rugs and tasteful decor. The owners could not have been nicer, attending to a very few minor issues quickly and with good humor. The lake was very clear and clean, the swimming excellent and the fishing very good. This is a first class vacation cottage, and we recommend it without reservation

The Rustic Lodge was the perfect lakeside retreat we were looking for. Steps from the lodge lead directly to your own personal dock / deck right on the lake. Kayaks, canoe and boat are all on-site for lakeside fun. The lodge itself was well equipped and it's theme added to our week long family gathering. We had a great time which may be the catalyst for a new family tradition.

We all loved absolutely loved this property! Immaculate home. Lovely furnishings. Gorgeous setting right on the water. Close proximity to family-friendly nature hikes. Cooked supper over outdoor fire. Enjoyed use of canoe and kayaks dawn to dusk. Took the motor boat out for a spin around beautiful Trout Lake. Relaxed on the expansive deck. Such fun! Looking forward to returning!

We had a great time. The Firewood was stacked ready to go. Hot tub was easy to use and the kids loved playing down on the lakeside.

I can't say enough great things about this rental. Owner very attentive to any needs, which were few. Waterfront is the real jewel of this spot. The wood fired hot tub, pristine clean water for swimming, easy access for our fishing boat as well as the use of the motor boat that comes with the rental. We had such a great time and will return as soon as we can!!!

The property was beautiful with a lot of lakefront access that included patio and a huge deck. It provided the perfect outdoor space. The cedar hot tub was easy to use and was a lot of fun for both adults and kids. The fire grill was also great for evening dinners by the lake. My only recommendations would be to have a spring closed screen door. The kids would accidentally leave the door open which lead to flies in the house. Pretty simple fix. Otherwise this was an great house!
