Our beautifully renovated, tastefully furnished, and well-equipped log home is the perfect spot to enjoy and explore the Adirondack High Peaks! Dog friendly! Please inquire for availability.
This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is perfect for families or a small group of friends. On the upper level there is an oversize master bedroom with King bed, an ample second bedroom with Queen bed, and a lovely full bathroom with copper double sinks. The main floor has an additional bedroom with double bed and full bathroom as well as full kitchen, dining room, and living area.
Relax on the porch or patio and enjoy the unspoiled view of Whiteface - or head out on your Adirondack adventure! We are close to many popular hiking trails, swimming holes such as the Jay Covered Bridge, and Hardy Road mountain biking. The nearby Ausable River is a premier destination for fly-fishing. Boat rentals are available in Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. Winter guests enjoy world class skiing and snowboarding at Whiteface Mountain, cross country skiing, and ice skating. Attractions and events nearby include High Falls Gorge, John Brown's Farm, Lake Placid Horse Shows, and the Olympic Museum and Olympic Jumping Complex. You can even take a bobsled ride with a professional driver and brakeman! Many dining and shopping options are available in the Village of Lake Placid.

Just beautiful
Beautiful retreat and views. It rained but we took advantage of the wrap around porch. Will definitely book this place again in the future.

Truly a gem
Jay Mountain Retreat is a hidden gem. It is a large property surrounded by wilderness offering a relaxing getaway with all the modern amenities. While we were there in winter, for the World Cup at Mt. Van Hoevenberg, it would be fabulous in any season for hiking, fishing or just enjoying nature. The owner was very responsive to our questions, and made sure the driveway was plowed in a timely fashion. There are two delicious restaurants at the bottom of the mountain and Keene has a few more options to offer. We recommend this VRBO and friends just rented in April. We hope to return sometime.

Perfect getaway!
This was the perfect cabin to get away!! Amazing view of Whiteface, HUGE backyard, and a nice big porch to enjoy and take it all in(: We had such a peaceful relaxing stay. Very clean cabin. The owner was very nice and personable! She made me feel very comfortable to reach out if I needed to! We will definitely be staying here again!!

Perfect - just what we needed
After a tough 2025 so far, a week away in this perfect cabin was just what we needed. No neighbors, no noise. Great location! Great hiking access nearby. Kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals. Also enjoyed meals at the Ice Jam, highly recommend. The house was clean and views from the porch were amazing. We felt like we were literally watching the leaves change. I wouldn't hesitate booking again.

We've been coming to the Adirondacks for years and this house is one of our favorites!! We absolutely love the location. The views of the surrounding wilderness and the sunsets over Whiteface are breathtaking. The house is beautifully done, comfortable, and cozy. We cooked all our meals there and the kitchen was great. We will be back!!
