The property’s original Victorian Farmhouse built in the 1800s has been remodeled into luxury Hudson Valley Lodging and restored to bring out its original charm. The Rose Cottage has also been enhanced with luxurious amenities such as steam showers and clawfoot tubs. Spend some time reading your favorite book in the cozy sunroom or enjoy a glass of local wine on the outside deck.
This farmhouse is the perfect combination of beauty, elegance and comfort. Read more about our three luxury lodging suites in the Hudson Valley below to start planning your weekend getaway with friends! With a full kitchen, guests can make themselves at home in this self-catered accommodation.
Please note- breakfast is not included. Sliding scale rates in effect. The rate will adjust if you have more than 2 guests, so you are not paying for full occupancy if you are traveling with less than 8 in your group. This unit is a 2 family unit.
The second unit is the small Caretaker's Quarters apartment located on the basement level. Both units have their own private entrances and designated areas of the expansive lawns and a common parking area.
Communal Pool: The pool is located in the rear of our adjacent Lodge building. All those staying on the property are able to use the pool. Inquire about current COVID restrictions on pools. Open mid-May to Mid-October
Notes: If interested in having dinner in the house, please contact us for details on a private chef. A licensed massage therapist from the area can be reserved in advance. Also please contact us for details. The one TV is located in the living room on the first floor, adjacent to the kitchen. Sporting Clay course on site. Wonderful recreational sport. Contact us to book an "intro to Sporting Clays" as part of your stay!

Additional Property Information
All bedrooms have their own private "en suite" bathrooms. Bedrooms 1 & 3 are on the second floor. Bedroom 2 is on the first (main floor) adjacent to the living room . Each bedroom has its own heat/AC unit that is individually controlled by guests staying in that room.

Lovely getaway all seasons
A lovely and spacious farmhouse in a tranquil setting. Perfect for a few days or week away with friends/family. Our host Kathy made check in easy and couldn’t have been nicer when we had a question or two along the way. The area is great with Mohonk Preserve, wineries and a craft distillery nearby and great places in New Paltz.

A rose by any other name
Came across this listing as a last minute get away. I was not sure what to expect as the previous reviews mentioned sporting clays. We booked a beginner session for the sporting clays and had so much fun!!
The house was emaculately cleaned. The main master bedroom has a sauna. The king bed was comfy. Linens were fresh and cleaned. Kitchen had everything one would need but we decided to venture out -the town has a few good restaurants.
I really am looking forward to coming back in the spring to experience all the vineyards in the area. Kathy was amazing with her response. So happy with our stay!!

Great Holiday Stay!
We stayed for Thanksgiving holiday during Co-Vid. It was great to be able to roam the farm, including clay shooting. Our dog loved it as well. The Rose Cottage is cozy and cheerful with ample individual bedroom quarters. We would have loved to visit local wineries, etc. but didn't given the restrictions. Communication with Kathy was great...responsed to my many questions in timely manner. Would be lovely in the fall.

Beautiful house near wine and bike trails!
If you need to get away from city life and feel a part of upper NY Marlboro community , this is the destination! Perfect house , Centrally located to attractions in New Paltz, Beacon, Poughkeepsie, this house will make you feel at home and will create cosy and holiday atmosphere that will keep you warm and fuzzy afterwards. :) absolutely recommend it for a couple, family, or group of friends.
