Our son had a wonderful time fishing in the kayak that was provided. Very quiet nice location to spend a week.

Thank you so much for the kind review. We are glad you enjoyed your week and we hope Toby caught some big ones.
It was the peaceful getaway we needed, escaping from "city life." The lake was beautiful and we took advantage of their kayaks. Our pup enjoyed the large backyard area especially. Joyce and Tony were incredibly communicative, friendly, and helpful ... from booking and throughout our stay.

Thank you for the feedback. We are looking into other options regarding the AC. Thanks for the review and hope you have a great summer.
The house was so comfortable and the perfect Adirondack log cabin retreat located right on a lake. We had a bit of trouble locating it with the GPS instructions that I had but my sister found it with no problem so I think it might depend on what app you use. I was a bit concerned before arriving about the limited kitchen, but with the use of the grill we were able to cook all week long with no problem. This is very important to me as I can’t eat out at most restaurants as I have a serious seafood shellfish allergy. It was close proximity to lots of great hiking. Having a view of the lake whether inside or outside was absolutely beautiful. The large deck was great for a family gathering and just relaxing and enjoying the view. Having the availability of kayaks was a big plus. Tony and Joyce were wonderful hosts and very friendly and responsive. I would definitely stay there again

Beautifully appointed with no clutter, great and comfortable main room for movies and games with the kids. Convenient, easy arrival and departure. Tony & Joyce are terrific hosts. My twin middle-schoolers especially loved the loft, which fit both a full mattress and a full blow-up mattress we had brought with us. They even installed a brand new bed in the main bedroom when we arrived! If you’re looking for lakeside campfires, beautiful lake views, and a week of kayaking and boating on the lake, I definitely recommend!

Good Wi-Fi for those working remote. Very peaceful location. If you have not been to Caroga Lake it is a serene and peaceful place to take a vacation. Loons at night and eagles flying in the day. Plenty of things to do locally like hiking, biking trails, kayaking, golf, music arts at Sherman's and much more.

We have only stayed at a couple other Rental's, but Tony and Joyce both encompassed what it means to be superhosts! They were fantastic about literally everything... communication, suggestions, company, directions... everything and anything we needed. Everything was so nice, clean, and cozy. The views were spectacular. Every morning you get to see the sun come up over the mountains and every morning the view is different and breathtaking. Getting to hear the loons first thing in the morning was spectacular! We rented a pontoon boat at the marina which was in walking distance and explored the lake. We took the kayaks out for a little spin. Anything we could have hoped for was provided.

Tony and Joyce are wonderful hosts, stopping by to show us around when we arrived, and again when we were leaving to see if we had any issues… and very quick responses via text when needed. The lake was lots of fun, we used the kayaks provided, and built some great camp fires in the fire pit. All in all a very memorable time.
Note: There were heavy rain/thunder storms when we arrived and during our stay. The closest store for supplies is dollar general - due to the storms they could not process payments other than cash. We had to scrape together our dollars and coins, so you may want to be sure to have some cash on hand…

Tony and Joyce are extremely nice and since they live next door, they are helpful and available. I misunderstood three beds to mean three bedrooms and cook top to mean they had an stove. So just know it is a two bedroom with no stove/oven- there is a portable two burner camp unit in the cabinet and a microwave/convection unit. There is little to do in the area, however, I was looking for a quiet relaxing place to kayak and rest and it was perfect for that.
